  1. I should've taken a picture of mine last night with the vomit all down the passenger sideskirt and floor mat.
  2. I'll let you off if you can find the originals of them that I kept badgering you for.
  3. Do a search mate, this topic is right below yours in the interior section: http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....showtopic=15504
  4. Received, cheers mate, no free nut this time though.
  5. Does this mean my car will no longer be on the front page?!
  6. Gutted for you mate, I thought this link was just gonna be a joke. At leastthe damage doesn't sound too bad and you can salvage the good bits, and more to the point at least your ok. Chin up.
  7. Yes their very good, however never heard of that website but if you're wanting the full set their cheaper here: http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m19b0s1311p4273 and camskill are very good to deal with.
  8. The dump valve and waste gate aren't connected at all, as standard there is only an internal wastegate. If you don't run with a dump valve the pressurised air will be pushed back out the air filter via the turbo creating the chatter noise. I get a bit of a chatter and a dump with my SARD dump valve.
  9. The wastegate is what controls the level of boost the turbo generates, if you look at the exhaust side of the turbo theres the exhaust wheel and the hole with the flap over it, that hole is the wastegate of the internal type. The boost is controlled by the actuator holding the wastegate flap closed until a set pressure is reached where the flap is opened so the exhaust gas bypasses the turbine wheel, the actuator then modulates the amount the flap is opened by to control and hold the boost level. An external type wastegate is generally used when running high boost levels or when more precise control over the boost is required. With these the internal wastegate is welded shut and an external wastegate is piped off from the exhaust manifold with the boost level controlled by a spring in the external wastegate. A dump valve is used to release the pressure from the intercooler piping when the throttle body is closed and either has a diaphragm or spring which sets the pressure at which it opens or dumps the pressurised air from the pipework.
  10. The abs light will probably come up on the dash but thats all. My abs used to not work but randomly started working a month ago and I didn't enjoy it trying to slow me on an icy road, I may aswell not even brake on an icy road because the abs doesn't let the car slow down at all.
  11. Glad you finally got it fitted. The anti lift kit may prove even more fun though!
  12. Find the abs fuse in the fuse box and whip it out, et voila no more abs.
  13. Cool night pics. I wasn't too keen on the new look of your wheels to start with but I like them now seeing them again, has the garage not replaced your nuts yet though? Also a random question, as you know I have the same head unit as you, in the pics there its a really bright luminescent blue but when your driving dos it flick from dark to that bright blue every 10 seconds or so? Mine does and its really annoying and distracting with this bright light illuminating everything constantly on and off.
  14. They are seriously nuts! I can't stop laughing at the "banging tune" though.
  15. Lol its not athena, its not even in japan that vid, its malaysia. Even the japs aren't that crazy!
  16. The second one's a photoshop, there's loads of them on the original site that the pic is from.
  17. First year of uni is pointless all your meant to do is get pissed, stoned and laid... every night. Enjoy your first year and don't worry about it, the real work starts later.
  18. They don't fit anywhere near the steering wheel they screw onto the gearbox where the speedo cable connects, also you can get them cheaper and no doubt much quicker off ebay.
  19. Cheers mate, it was plasticote stuff and its meant to be heat resistant, just 3 coats but prepped well. It still looks the same as when I fitted it so its lasting fine.
  20. Mine the other day: It was worse but the rain cleaned it a bit and also gave it the stylish zebra stripes down the side.
  21. Yeah its Toby's old one, he didn't manage to sell it then either because he put a turbo lump in it after.
  22. Its the same as the "lambo doored banana split" posted a few posts above.
  23. Looks good mate some similar bits to mine, love the max power breather filter! One thing though, why have you heat wrapped the intercooler piping from the turbo? The heat keeps the heat in the material rather than out of it, you should use reflective tape to keep the heat out of it. I want to see the next stages of this and the other donor glanza.
  24. Nice find and a good read. Its shocking how good a copy the tein springs are, at least most things are listed as being greddy "style" but those teins are a shocking rip off. You see so many cars with those oil caps too, hardly anyone has the real TRD one's.
  25. Thats great, thanks.
