  4. yes the ratios are different in the n/a box if anything I would say shorter you would be changing gear a lot faster, thats how they get the performance out of smaller engines there is a chart some where with all the ratios for all the boxes on it. This is what Jay posted some time ago! Gear ratio data All figures are taken from official Toyota source material that is sitting on the desk beside me here. I apologise in advance if I have made any errors. 1996 UKDM 4EFE (C154?) 1st : 3.545 2nd : 1.904 3rd : 1.310 4th : 1.031 5th : 0.864 Reverse : 3.250 Differential ratio : 3.722 Oil capacity : 1.9 litres Oil viscosity : SAE 75W-90 Oil Grade : GL-4 or 5 1996 JDM 4EFE Glanza S 1st : 3.545 2nd : 1.904 3rd : 1.310 4th : 0.969 5th : 0.815 Reverse : 3.250 Differential gear ratio : 3.722 Oil Capacity : unconfirmed Oil viscosity : unconfirmed Oil Grade : unconfirmed 1996 JDM 4EFTE Glanza V 1st : 3.166 2nd : 1.904 3rd : 1.392 4th : 1.031 5th : 0.815 Reverse : 3.250 Differential gear ratio : 3.722 Oil Capacity : unconfirmed Oil viscosity : unconfirmed Oil Grade : unconfirmed 1992-1995 4EFTE GT 1st : 3.166 2nd : 1.904 3rd : 1.310 4th : 0.969 5th : 0.815 Reverse : 3.250 Differential gear ratio : 3.722 Oil Capacity : unconfirmed Oil viscosity : unconfirmed Oil Grade : unconfirmed 1989-1991 4EFTE GT 1st : 3.166 2nd : 1.904 3rd : 1.310 4th : 0.969 5th : 0.815 Reverse : 3.250 Differential gear ratio : 3.722 Oil Capacity : unconfirmed Oil viscosity : unconfirmed Oil Grade : unconfirmed -------------- And of course it wouldn't be complete without the automatic figures would it? 1996 UKDM 4EFE Automatic (A132L) 1st : 2.810 2nd : 1.549 3rd : 1.000 4th : - 5th : - Reverse : 2.296 Counter gear ratio : 0.945 Differential gear ratio : 3.526 Fluid Capacity (transmission) : 5.5 litres Fluid Capacity (Differential) : 1.4 litres Fluid Type : ATF Type DII or Dexron II or Dexron III 1996 JDM Glanza V Automatic 1st : 3.643 2nd : 2.008 3rd : 1.296 4th : 0.892 5th : - Reverse : 2.977 Counter gear ratio : unconfirmed Differential gear ratio : 2.821 Fluid Capacity : unconfirmed Fluid Type : ATF Type DII or Dexron II or Dexron III 1992-1995 JDM GT Automatic 1st : 3.643 2nd : 2.008 3rd : 1.296 4th : 0.892 5th : - Reverse : 2.977 Counter gear ratio : unconfirmed Differential gear ratio : 2.821 Fluid Capacity : unconfirmed Fluid Type : ATF Type DII or Dexron II or Dexron III 1989-1991 JDM GT Automatic 1st : 3.643 2nd : 2.008 3rd : 1.296 4th : 0.892 5th : - Reverse : 2.977 Counter gear ratio : unconfirmed Differential gear ratio : 2.962 Fluid Capacity : unconfirmed Fluid Type : ATF Type DII or Dexron II or Dexron III ---------------- There's a blank template for anyone wishing to add more: 1st : 2nd : 3rd : 4th : 5th : Reverse : Differential gear ratio : Oil Capacity : Oil viscosity : Oil Grade : Hope that's of some use to somebody somewhere. 21. Me and the missis are in for sure!! had a great time this year!
  22. Bit more of a up date I've been having some problems with the Ford idle control valve I fitted, its been causing electrical problems and also the idle is all over the place at times and then its ok again so since I am running a ECU for a Honda I thought it would make sense to convert it to a Honda ICV in stead of the Ford one so this is what I have made up today to make it fit the Starlet TB. Started with a piece of 3mm alu plate cut it to shape to so there was a place for the valve bolt to fit that hung over the side seen as the holes in the valve and the TB dont line up I had the make the holes odd shapes to allow for the air flow Then a bit of a polish up on the belt linisher Ready to be fitted to the car now!!
  23. LOL too right!! it wont be stopping blue tho! my engine should be a give away what colour it will be!
