The thing with Jic fittings is that you should do them hand tight then one dlat thereafter and no more. Going beyond that and you begin to stretch the threads. Ideally it would be to chanfe for fittings but you could use a bit of thread tape on them. Its not the best solution but it should work. If you do it that way dont put tape on the cone part of the fitting. I would try changin your hose ends though dude. John

cheap but i wouldnt say they comprise on quality bery much. ive got a set of ratchet spanners from there and there brilliant. dont rate there tool boxes much but there tools are good. Best thing to do is get a Cromwell catalogue, they have a huge range and variety of tools for all different jobs. Alot of the stuff comes in sets. just buy something new every week/ month and over time youl accumulate a good toolkit.
