  1. Well I managed to get the pillar painted today but also decided to get rid of a scrape on the side at the same time. It didn't take long and really needed doing so why not. Originally looked like this Then like this And finally like this I still need to go over and polish the roof and see how the blend looks. I also need to flatted all the paintwork and polish it so excuse that it's not mint yet, but here's the dent free pillar Happy with it so far . See how the blend comes out after I've flattened it and polished it up !
  2. if it were more suitable conditions mate I would haha! Hard work pft ;) it was me haha!! Saw you a mile off ;)
  3. Hi mat . I only live around the corner from mfn so yes it more than likely will be there
  4. came out alright . Still need to polish the roof and hide the blend a little to see how it comes out. Might end up painting the roof if I'm not happy with it lol. Cheers dude Haha! Just time and patience my friend . You'll see when thingy thing ehem ehem haha too kind . Any jobs going at your place? Lol! I think I saw that for sale a few times on ebay:p. Did they make it a rally car or something? All the quality is down to the prep matey . Take your time and get rid of all the imperfections you can and it will show in the final result. The rest is just being ruthless and not worrying that you'll make a mess haha . Cheers dude ! To be honest I just took the window out and the trim off. I used G3 to clean it although any polish would have done.
  5. Item For Sale: I have a full MK3 GT interior for sale. Everything is currently there apart from the carpet and front door cards. I need all of this gone so that I can rearrange my shed to a usable state. Open to offers on everything. Item Condition & Description: The front seats have a little wear although still in very reasonable good condition. The rear seats are mint apart from a little rip on the tights like fabric around the underneath. The boot carpet is still fixed to the back of the seats although it needs a good clean. I'm sure the rest of the plastics are in good condition. Parcel shelf is in mint condition and the optional speakers work perfectly. Has the original proper plug for the factory loom. Price: Front seats sold rear seats £10 Plastics price vary between £5 and £10 per panel. Please ask for specifics. Parcel shelf £50 Pictures: I have cleaned everything since this photo. The seats were a little oddly shaped from storage, all fine now. MORE PICTURES UPLOADING Payment & Shipping Details: Everything to be collected unless arranged otherwise. I will not post ANY of this stuff outside of the U.K. Had enough of people the other side of the world asking if I will post the whole interior to them.
  6. Stupid Glanzas. Get a GT.
  7. I've been a busy bum today starting on the bodywork. Thought I'd dive in the deep end and start with what I consider to be the worst part, the 3 dents on the A pillar/above the drivers door... This is what it originally looked like. I started by taking all the paint off so that filler would stick to the surface. Last thing I want is it cracking or falling off! After a few layers it started to take a shape And with a bit of primer and some flattening it now sits like this It's not 100% perfect and does have a little dent still there but once I've painted it, flattened it and buffed it I'd be very surprised if it's more than barely visible at all ! I've also started going around getting rid of any long sitting dirt like around the windows and in the recesses of the trim n stuff to tidy it up in the little details... Before and after I'll be painting the pillar tomorrow and going to attempt to blend it into the roof... Technically I'd be safest to spray the whole roof and blend it in the C pillars low down to try and hide any imperfections but I want to try and blend it over the roof to see what happens. I think it should work fine to be honest but if not, it's not going to set me back any further than what I already am, and will just paint the whole roof . Hope it's sunny tomorrow!!
  8. I'm not sure if it was an option or not for the none snow edition models to have yellow bulb holders, however mine does also have them. I still need to go around and take some photos of the bulbs, see if the suspension is any different and see what the lark is with the alternator or starter motor lol. It has a sticker on the back too under the offside light which might be to do with it although not entirely sure as I can't read Japanese lol!
  9. Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes. Waking up to that video set me for a good day haha. You guys are awesome !!! Happy birthday to you guys too . Big loves!!
  10. I've been around for about 4 years and the scene has always been good for me. The starlet is a ace car but if it wasn't for the scene being so good I would probably have a different car. I recently bought a civic which was a car I've always wanted and in terms of an overall view its probably a better car. However I was bored after 6 months and here I am again with a mk1 gt. Nothing to do with the car if I'm honest. The civic scene is shit and the starlet scene is awesome haha. Back in the day when I had fiestas and a few 306s again the scenes were rubbish compared to here. I love the family feel we have here. I've made so many friends through the scene that I'd say 90% of my friends are from here. I feel that there is a smaller part of the community that has been here for a while which always stick together. I'd says that's the family of ukso. Always happy to welcome new members although most end up just being family friends because they don't get the bug and move on. In some ways it's changed... But I feel the vibe is still good. I love to help others where I can and I know that I can ask for help and someone can always help me out too... The scene is what you make of it
  11. I was wondering if anyone knew who it was too. Should give the starlet a 5* safety rating LOL
  12. Sorry dude I kinda get what you mean but can you just pin point on here where the RPM wire is please. Might have to zoom in... Or just explain a little better. Not sure if you mean a wire on the big connector or..... or I'm just not sure lol! I'm going to admit I'm a bit too tight to spend £50 on clocks for a working tacho haha.
  13. For just £1,000,000 . Just in case how much are the clocks?
  14. Haha . It's annoying me not knowing what's wrong. I'd rather strip down to see if I can fix it before replacing it but I think I'm going to end up replacing the tacho if it's a problem with the clocks. Hopefully most toyota from 90s era will use the same tacho as mk1 gts don't really pop up often lol. Cheers guys. Going to test with a multimeter later or temp wire in an external tacho to see if that works or not.
  15. Even checked this and it looks alright lol
  16. Yeah it revs to the limiter (Now I've fixed a million problems it came with lol)... Yes in the video it was popping and banging because someone had retarded the timing at some point. I've put it back to normal now (roughly, going to check with a timing light soon) but it's still the same...
  17. Don't see anything wrong with this side of the board either?
  18. Right I've just bought a mk1 GT and the tacho doesn't read properly. When it idles it's a few hundred rpm low and it doesn't seem to read anything over about 3k if I remember rightly... I managed to get a little video the other day. Someone has already told me that they had the same problem and they ended up replacing the clocks. So assuming that it was a problem with the clocks I've taken them apart... There were a few signs that they had been opened before so there's a possibility that something been damaged or someone else might have just tried to fix it too in the past. The big plug closest to the tacho that goes on the back of the clocks has the clip broken off but it still sits inside the slot nice and tight so I don't think that's an issue. The rest of the clocks work fine too. Missing screw Broken clip I eventually got the tach unit out but to be honest I can't see anything wrong with it? Electronics aren't my strong point but there is no darkened area or parts that look damaged or burnt out. The bottom board in this photo is the tachometer part. The other cluster of boards is all for the boost gauge display. Anyone got any ideas what it might be to do with the clocks? If not I can only guess it's a problem else where on the car? But to be completely honest I have no idea how the tacho works lol! ANY help appreciated guys.
  19. Thought you would have uploaded those videos by now ;)
  20. Looks like a weapon! Nice build matey . I'd just like to say your camera skills are rubbish too haha! Keep up the good work mate
  21. Ha! Funny you should say that as I was going to try another ignition set up and then go get someone to check the timing with a light before buying a new set up. So yes please . Would really appreciate it if you could !!!!!
  22. I have no idea what you're talking about
