Idle issue hopefully resolved!!!!
mech5107 replied to PaulStarletSR's topic in 4E-FTE Engine Discussions
Before everything try lowering idle from he screw in the throttle body. if it's too high the deceleration cut off is enabled, closing injectors till just above 1000rpm. -
Nice! Is it injection?
-
Where did you got the turbo look stuff? Seems impossible to find the parts my self.

Our cars, when coasting on no throttle, completely cut injection pulses so it is more economical. Not sure. how you can achieve the banging noise... If you have a decay exhaust then it can happen but mainly when you get on throttle after coasting down.

looks like TRD mechanical.

ΑΕΜ is one of the best for everyday use... no calibration needed, accurate enough, easy to install...

It's M16x1.5. I used this also for pressure and temp...i put a braded line from there to a "T" where i fitted the pressure and temp sensors. Pressure reads fine, but temp is not getting up to temp guickly... Maybe if you put the sensor right on the filter housing could give better results.

Done a dyno run today... bit less than expected, but not bad for the age of the engine. 123,3hp@6360 16kgm@3500 http://s385.photobucket.com/user/mech5107/media/Cars/Starlet/001a.jpg.html'> http://s385.photobucket.com/user/mech5107/media/Cars/Starlet/001.jpg.html'>

It has a 3 bolt flange?
-
This ct12 is not the one from the ep71, as it have similar intake like the ct9... Even the diesel ct turbo don't have the bolted flange mount. What is this from?
-
No, it has the same mounts as a 4age. It's possible, but needs some fabrication.

Do you have a wideband? Probably your lambda sensor has cooled and reports wrong. Mine does it and the rpms drop to about 650 and mixture leans to 16:1. Just a few blips to the gas pedal to raise temp and it's back again. That if your lambda is single wire. If 4wire, check/clean the idle valve.

Put it at 2.4bar without the vacuum line and will be like stock.

There are 2 pump types. One with the pulley pressed in and with the pulley bolted. The 2 pumps are not interchangable. -

You are at the limit of fuel cut, that's why the engine light comes on

Still having issues with revving the car.
mech5107 replied to rob_bower's topic in Ignition & Fueling
It's the TPS. When you slightly press the gas pedal, the TPS movements is not enough to "leave" the idle contact and the ECU cut fuel when reaching over 1500-1800rpm like fuel cut when decelerating in gear. I suppose there is also a slight hesitation when in gear you press the gas at around 1500-2000rpm. Adjust the TPS and will sort out.
