    Melted pistons

Isn't the 370cc injectors a bit too small for the HP that you wear running? Online calculators would say something in the region of 440+cc for your case. What was the duty cycle that you were running? Should be fairly close to 100%
  2. I think in your case 31 means that you are at the edge of boost cut. Adjust the boost a bit lower, erase errors and try again.
  3. Quick update: Measured compression today... pretty happy with the results... 1: 172 2: 172 3:165 4:178. Not bad for a 25+ year old engine...
  4. Check also the actual wire and connector for the dash sender.
  5. There are al lot of CT12s... the ones from EP71 turbo will fit the CT9 manifold and downpipe. The ones from Supras wont.
  6. This is a genuine formula atlantic engine, not sure on the displacement, but could be easily be ~1800
  7. A 3 point one will make the rear end stiffer... On the other hand, stiffer is not always the best... On the other other hand, Starlets are not the brightest cars as far stiffness is concerned, so stiffer may be better... On the other other other hand, the rear beam axle could be twitchy as stuff get stiffer... I'd go for a 3 point if possible
  8. Interested in the earth kit and the catch tank.
  9. Very nice... Is the under seat tray for EP71 or adapted from ep82/91?
  10. Just a small update. After timming belt change (230.000km) complete with seals etc, the car now running an HKS EVC boost controller and an Apexi turbo timer. Also long time ago, i snapped one of the handbrake cable (i'm using turbo brake setup on my axle). The replacement one has a slightly bigger head diameter, so not straight fit. Nothing that an angle grinder can't fix. Hopefully this will be shorted soon and be able to use the truning brake again. Also looking for a fmic core, no longer than ~550mm (total with endcaps) and less than 150mm height and 60mm deep, as the space is
  11. I'm also looking for a front mount, but need somethig with shorter lenght. Something like 550mm total lenght, with the ends, ~100mm height, ~50-60mm deap. Is there anything like that?

    Idle temp

The heater uses heat from the engine to heat the cabin. Some drop should be normal, but a quarter is too much...
  13. Fire the car up, let it get up to temp, open the diagnostic plug and measure with the volt meter between Fp and E1...should read around 0.4 at hot idle and in low to mid rpms.
  14. Sorry to hijack the thread, but what intake is this? Seems very well designed.
  15. I think that both the hinge and the pin is available...
  16. Just a side note, I've seen that retarding the ignition to about 6 degrees, i gain a lot in mid range... and not actually loosing at high rpm...
  17. Do you shake the car in order for the suspension to settle? Do you do the allignment with the driver in? Do all tire pressures be the same?
  18. Many have asked about using the plug on the left side of the oil filter housing for fitting sensors, etc. I removed it today to measure it. It's M16x1.5. Mine is a 2etelu but should be ok.
  19. I get 33-34mpg from my 2etelu engined EP70 at highway, 5th gear 100-120km/h. Everyday it's more like 23,5 in the town trafic.
  20. Although these guys are too good to be true, i will drop this here http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=507778359260296&set=a.272542662783868.67907.174241639280638&type=1&relevant_count=1http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=507778359260296&set=a.272542662783868.67907.174241639280638&type=1&relevant_count=1
  21. You need to make an adaptor from the plug with the ep91 sticker to the ep82 loom. Or you can cut the plug from the PFC, use the yellow wires and mate them to the EP82 connector. Check the serial of the commander and the PFC and check with APEXI if it works. Or try it, it just won't go beyond the APEXI logo...
  22. You can use the sam ecu both in EP91 and EP82. Only the loom plug is different. you can build a patch loom from a spare EP91 plug set and a spare EP82 ECU connector. The commander is depending on the actual ECU used. The commander from EP91 will work also in EP82 versions. Also the new oled commander works on every PFC ever built.
