  1. If you were to get the EP*5 stuff then the rear diff ratio would have to match the front. Otherwise stuff is gonna blow up haha. The EP*5 uses a centre viscous coupling which takes up the difference between the front and rear, as there will always be a difference with outside wheels turning further etc. The front and rear are both open diffs. Its a fairly old design of 4wd tbh and there isnt a lot (if any) mods that can be easily done to the drivetrain. That being said the 4paws do hook up nicely and put power down pretty well A mini with the running gear would be savage lol.
  2. What 4wd parts do you currently have ? Trying to get spares for these is a nightmare haha. Think the same drivetrain was fitted to a few other Toyotas of the same era, like 4wd Toyota Corsa, Tercel, Corolla maybe a few more. But most will be JDM only and not many would have made it over here.
  3. There are quite a lot of small differences. Front bumper & lip Rear lights MK1s have a rear Glow panel Instrument clocks As standard they had different wheels etc. ECU has different pinout, wiring looms different. Fusebox different aswell. Interior has a mad school tie pattern lol More wacky 2 tone paint options as standard Probably different optional extras as standard Dont think B pillars fit due to some having no rear seatbelts ??? Unsure in that tbh Thats all i can think of there is no doubt other things aswell
  4. Got pics of it somewhere from Japfest 2013

    HOSE KIT!!

CJ Performance turned out to be a scamming cunt, a lot of us would like to get in contact with him haha. For the engine hose kit Roose do a bay kit, not sure if they do orange though ?
  6. This is a graph comparing the Gen1 & Gen2 4EFE engines. The one in the corolla above is actually a late Gen3. They use the same inlet as the Gen2 though. Theres other differences between the engines like injectors, ignition system, ECUs, exhaust manis etc. So the differnce in power isnt all down to the inlet.
  7. Dont know if the inlet is best for a N/a but people use it, or also the Glanza / GT inlet and throttle body. Dont quote me but iirc that corolla inlet is better for midrange power and the Glanza / GT one is better top end ?? And for the exhaust its the earlier e10 corolla manifold people use, or an aftermarket one like an obx etc. Dean@RW on here in the traders section does N/a exhaust manis, they look class.
  8. The feet or atleast one of them is in a slightly different place, but with a bit of bullying and a pry bar it fits
  9. The inlet is the one you want. The exhaust mani is just the same as a starlet mani, it the older e10 corolla exhaust mani which is a 4-1 i think. The ECU from that wont work either as it uses a DIS ignition system, youd have to swap that onto the starlet aswell for it all to work.
  10. Hey Peter am i right in thinking you have a 4paw ? Be good to see some track vids when you get it out
  11. Do a few burnouts and launches lol, give the clutch a workout and bed the bastard in haha.
  12. Lol depends what your into really, i'll watch most extreme sports things related Also watched that Maze Runner, was very, ehm, different ?! Lol, theyve left it wide open for a sequel, which they'll need to do because im still mindfucked haha. New Jurassic Park film looks to be decent, looking forward to that
  13. Id say that was a better idea haha
  14. Ahh what a shame, couldnt even give them away :/ GT seats are fuckin awesome aswell.
  15. Haha MCM GT chooo chooo Yeah man having an adjustable BOV or one with different springs is the best of both worlds. Ive go no BOV on mine so it just flutters but i do miss the dump valve noise.
  16. You got a low temp thermostat in it ? That does seem quite long.
  17. Id go for a fairly stiff spring in it, BOVs can be annoying going off every two seconds at the slightest hint of boost. Stiff spring and it will only dump when youre banging along at full chat. Depends on what you like though
  18. Can check them for play by jacking the car up and shaking / moving the wheel up and down checking for excess movement.
  19. Worn ball joints can give a kinda floaty feel to the steering.
  20. Can be loads of things, ive found it in the past to be the actual tyres warped across the tread. Also driveshaft balancers worn. Most common is wheel weights fallen off or not balanced right. Warped discs can cause a constant judder but normally only whilst braking unless they are really bad.
  21. One of my mates was telling me about this. Yous the lads from G.I ? Glws looks clean
  22. Who'd have thought a JAM lip on a Varis bumper would look so good haha.
