Ive got one for a daily aswell, often think about boosting it. Ive a VF10 here that would be great for it Do Glanza engine ancillary looms unplug from the fusebox like GT ones do ?
My bay is pretty messy aswell haha, you can take away all the sensors an shit around the coil / ignitor like Colin said, and turn it sideways. Like this. And all you have to do it block up a couple nipples on the inlet.
Same lol nearly spat my tea out haha. I used to have one and it was awesome. Ended up selling it fairly cheap aswell because they could be had for less on RHD but unsure if they can still be bought new ?
Mines ECUs are so aggressive they blow your engine up. Thats a fact haha. Sounds like you are going about the CT9 build the right way Gainzy. K1 / EWG / EBC / EMB sorted lol
The B16B is a far superior engine than a 4EFE, had hand built components, a high C.R. etc. Whereas a 4EFE isnt a performance engine its just a 1.3 fitted to granny shopping carts (mostly) lol.
If the injectors are leaking too much fuel into the combustion chamber and overfuelling it. Theres only really a few things it can be when its shooting out pure black smoke.
If its 212mm then it should fit, pretty sure the 4AGE clutches are interchangable with starlets. The dowel holes in the pressure plate look like they have the correct spacing.
You got leaky injectors then maybe ? Check the wiring to the MAP sensor. Thought youd have a spare MAP sensor knocking about with the amount of starlets you've had haha.
Sort fuelling and swap the MAP sensor for another one. Also make sure the vac to the sensor is in good condition. Then onto ignition checks if that doesnt sort it.
They suit some cars better than others, there was a white V a while back with a mad fuckin kit that had them which really worked well. Liking that Livesports lip, you gonna do the rest of the kit ?
