Do you have a light on the dash for the handbrake ? Red exclamation mark with a circle round it ? Might be for that but cant remember the colour of the wire off hand.

Remove the cable from the caliper and see if the brake is free, if it is then the cable is siezed. If it doesnt spin then its the caliper. (Providing the pads are free and not stuck in)

Think 550 is the max injectors the blue can run, so maybe run something a little less. And yeah a good adjustable FPR is essential. I had a aeromotive one of my old GT but a lot of people run SARD.

Thats the never ending debate lol. Around 240 - 250 in a well set up starlet is pretty decent imo. Youd probably need to sink 10k+ into a starlet to be able to have 450 and stand half a chance of being able to put it down, ie LSD, semi slicks.

Because lets be honest, firing rebuild parts on an engine thats kinda half stripped down and not properly inspected is pikey and just a waste of money, because no doubt a ringland will go or something and you'll kick yourself for not checking for cracks in the pistons etc.

Not all would agree but this is what i'd do if you want it up and running asap. Pick up a running 4EFE engine for like 100 quid and bolt the turbo stuff on. Run it low boost. That way it'll be running and you can save up for a proper rebuild with the FTE.

Seen countless amounts of these cheap rebuild type threads now, mostly ending in tears shortly followed by a breaking thread lol. Nah kidding on, most of us want to do things that save a few quid but you just have to weigh up the cost / disaster factor and have a think on the best option
