Get stretchy CV boots for the outer ones to save you stripping down the CV joint. Theae are the ones where you get a cone to put the new one one. You cut the old ones off. If youve never done em before you'll at least need an hour a side.

anyone used a vf 35 on a 4e before??

Yeah at the time i wasnt prepared to spend out on an almost unknown territory kit. Instead i picked up that VF12. -
I did that with the GT haha thats where i got the idea of the Hyundai I10 battery lol. Condemned a battery that wasnt actually that faulty and got a nice new one from Hyundai that somehow found its way into the GT. Couldnt pull the same trick twice so had to buy the motor factor equivalent this time round lol.
-
Thats lovely, not an OEM colour but still very nice.
-
Its smaller than the one in mine yeah. I'll get dimensions tomorrow. The race spec or motorbike ones will prob be better. * than the one that came in mine. Ie the OEM one.
-
If you need a good small cheap battery then go for a type 54 (i think, will need to double check mine) it has the small jap terminals and comes standard in new Hyundai I10 so its capable of running a starlet with ease. Get em from motor factors for 30 odd quid.

Top guy, got a steering wheel posted out to me rapid, was well packed and well priced. Kept me informed with tracker etc. Cheers dude.

They have a different flange to the normal TD05. Physically smaller aswell and at a push i'd say it would make 300. The guy i bought my starlet from had a new 14b Zisco kit and it was pretty impressive but i felt it was quite limited and a dead end if you wanted to upgrade turbos. -
You need a spring that is the same or just below the minimum boost pressure youre gonna run. So if you sometimes run 0.8 bar then get a 0.8 spring or just below.

Been about a while but still cracks me up

* that didn't fit well maybe ?? His fuel rails were a shite fit and quality, so were the coilovers he sold, the shockers were too long or something.

Have a look at VF series turbos. http://www.google.co.uk/url?q=http://bbs.scoobynet.com/general-technical-10/945355-ihi-vf-turbo-specs.html&sa=U&ei=DnFFU7HNJMuBhAeN9YDQAQ&ved=0CB4QFjAA&usg=AFQjCNH4tFtt3s5hFYTkL3gqoRK4Ta9yVg

The quality of the item really. Cheap ones tend to have weaker diaphragms and the springs can sag meaning unstable boost. But i've never had any issues to date with cheap ones. Just use an EBC to set and control boost. But yeah all screamers are loud as fuck
-
I was only taking the piss man, are you maybe getting mixed up between dump valves and wastegates ?
-
The flange is different to our TD/VF flange manifolds. Its a square iirc.
-
I have a silencer on my screamer / external wastegate so its a bit quieter because it was too loud...
-
Maybe get a new one to be safe..
-
They were actually.

Your mates son needs a N/a starlet for his 1st car
