ryan lang Posted September 21, 2010 Author Posted September 21, 2010 its on an engine stand mate lolthe torque wrench is rested against it to show the size of the damm thing Quote
ryan lang Posted September 23, 2010 Author Posted September 23, 2010 yoo dudes and dudettes, finally got the sump off, to my dissapointment!we tried giving the crank a turn before the sump was off, but it would do almost a full turn and get jammed, so we tried opposite direction, same thing whipped the sump off to fnid this horror!i rested the loose peice on the end of the casing, as if you'll miss itrod wasnt even around the crankrod number 1 (left hand side) is 'slightly' out of position compared to 2,3,4 lmaoand just a few other pics of the same damaged, suprisingly, the crank itself doesnt look all that bad. forgot to take a pic of that, i was was expecting it to be right mangledi was glad to find out what the problem was, but ill be replacing the rods and pistons, and getting alot of work done to this engine, so hopefully, i can save it Quote
ryan lang Posted September 23, 2010 Author Posted September 23, 2010 yeees!there was alot of sealant around the sump, so im thinking a bit has come off, and jammed 1 of the oil pipes, causing the lack of oil so its heated up, and gone boom, it still smells of burnt metal Quote
drongo boi Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 ouch!! hope ya get it sorted asap dude Quote
