Turkish91
Well I have left the Starlet scene temporarily and bought myself another Civic! What was on initial purchase an amazing car and epic in every way has very quickly turned out to be, to put it bluntly a bit of a nail! When it was working it was animal fast and handles like nothing I've ever driven before! 0-60 in about 6 and tops out at about 145-150 on the GPS (car clocks were nearly back to 0mph lol)The spec level is huge -ENGINE/EXHAUSTACCORD TYPE R H22A7 ENGINEACCORD TYPE R U2Q7 LSD GEARBOXH22A7 ATR 4-2 MANIFOLD2.5" MONGOOSE 2-1 FLEXI DOWNPIPE (BRAND NEW)GATOR H22/EK DRIVE SHAFTSH22 EK HASPORT MOUNTSPORTED THROTTLE BODYAEM HYBRID H22 EK COLD AIR INTAKE PIPEAEM DRYFLOW SYNTHETIC AIR FILTERHEL BRAIDED CLUTCH LINETANABE CONCEPT G 2.5" CAT BACK EXHAUSTSOLID-FABRICATIONS 2.5" DECATWHEELS/BRAKESEK9 5 LUG SWAP:EK9 282MM FRONT DISCS/CALIPERSEK9 262M REAR DISCS/CALIPERSNEW BLUEPRINT BRAKE PADSHEL BRAIDED BRAKE LINES15" CIVIC EK9 WHEELSDC2 1" MASTER CYLINDER AND SERVOCHASSISD2 COILOVERSDC2 FRONT UPPER STRUT BRACEBEAKS SUBFRAME TIE BARHASPORT ENGINE MOUNTSINTERIOR/EXTERIOREK9 REAR LIPEK9 FRONT GRILLEK9 RECARO RAILSEK9 NON SRS STEERING WHEELEVO 3 RECARO FRONT SEATSUSDM FRONT HEADLIGHTSSPOON C/F WINGMIRRORSMUGEN PEDALSMUGEN FRONT LIPMUGEN GEARKNOBEK9 REAR LIGHT CONVERSIONOEM WINDVISORSSome of you may recognize the car from the Honda forums, so here it is...How I bought it...Things then started to go wrong Literally no idea how or when I've done it, but a new sump is currently sat behind the drivers seat ready to go on.Then the VTEC started playing up... got it looked at and it seems compression is quite down so I've thrown in the towel and took it off the road until its ready and perfect!Current plans are to literally refresh the whole engine and then get the car colour coded. Buying bits here and there and its all coming together nicely!Done a lot of work under the bonnet just cleaning and painting, to make it look good again as was a little bit ropey! Also got the wheels powder coated Before...After...Wheels...How the car was for the last two weeks until yesterdayNow its sat back on its wheels, just waiting for me to throw all the money at the engine and get it back on the road!Admittedley it does need a fair bit of TLC, but will be worth it in the end. I hope! What do you all reckon then guys? C&C welcome Edited February 24, 2012 by Turkish91

Turkish91
Cheers for all the comments lads Awesome! I do love the EK civics. What are your plans for the engine? Not sure yet bud, probably just keep it as it is once its running as believe me its plenty fast enough atm! If I get bored though, I might look into doing a full blown forged turbo build... probably looking at 400hp if I did go through with it! There's a guy on the ATR forum with like over 500 although that has had a hell of a lot of work!I want that car lol fancy an ep82 lolHmmm... tempting!Looks sweet mate, loved it when I saw her on pistonheads before you got it Gutted about it being down though , bet she absolutly flew!!! When you hoping to have her up and running again? (You'l be happy to know the SR will be on the road full time end of the month if my bro gets his ass into gear and passes!)adamI nearly text you, as I drove through your town on the way down to buy it! Came a different way back though otherwise I'd of seen if you wanted to meet up! Ahh good good, glad to hear she is still alive and well i do like them civics bet it shifts like fook did u get a rr printout ?No but on the previous engine which was a H22A out of a Prelude it made 216 (189 at the wheels) and the printout is on CivicLife for that. The guy I bought it from said the H22A7 which is in there now feels much more powerful than the Prelude engine so I should think it is at least that maybe a little more. ATRs as standard are 215 (I think) and over a standard ATR this has the de-cat and 2.5" system so I would say 220bhp maybe? If I'm lucky Once its all sorted I will stick it on Stealth Racing's dyno and see what kind of power it makes
