Im assuming compound charging is either the use of one small one large charger and using the boost from one to spool the latter?

Or more small for low end large for top end?

You could do what nissan japan did with the micra (march) k10 super turbo

Small supercharger active from just off idle upto the point it lost its efficiency then it switches to the turbo to supply the top end grunt.

This mated with a td04 or laggier setup would be quite a machine, but its a lot of work getting it all working with one another lol

Compound charging is a super charger or small turbo set up to the compressor of a larger turbo to spool it. Till the turbo flows more air. I'd post a pic but on phone. I've been looking into it for the 4paw and have a few ideas but just want it up and running first :p

Someone tried this a few years back on TGTT, ran 2 CT9s, looked a little bit bodged but it worked. Didn't really offer any advantages though! Lol

2 cylinders trying to spool a turbo that usually used 4... Didn't go down too well.

I think our engines would struggle to flow em to make the most out of them tbf, but seen a couple of evo's running charger and turbo and making silly power and torque Norris designs have done a couple like that I believe

Saab used it in their diesel aswell more effectively than VAG did with their petrol engine.

The guy that I had my turbo fixed was talking to me about trying this with me. Using something like a smart car turbo along with another that on a regular basis would be farr to big for the 4E. Its all about getting the ratios right between the 2 turbos.

i did this but not on a 4efte i did this way back late 90s on my r5gtt and used 2 stock turbos and its well worth it for sure it depends how u do your pipe work i used 1 turbo for 2 cylinders

if your going to just plump them back to back then i cant see it make much difference u will only get more heat from 1 turbo entering the other and get loads of isseus
