NightSpirit
Evening all,I'd make 7k easy if I stripped the car...but it'll take more effort than finishing it.The car is back home now, got it trailered today. A couple of pics for you, it doesn't look too bad from 8 months of standing but up close and in detail...believe me it hurts.
SiCaln
glad its home with someone who cares, be good to see it again sometime
NightSpirit
And no chaps...it won't be at JAE. Maybe next year though, priority will be to clean out the inside and tidy it all up in there, then finish off the little bits here and there. Then focusing on the engine and the fueling. Seriously if anyone wants to be a legend and help me fit and work out what fueling bits go where.Spent the best part of 3 days fitting Porsche 6 pots to the Golf..that's fun (not) as we're going for a sneaky Ring trip next sunday, the proposed road trip died a death which was my fault On the up side, my wife will be driving the 'Ring against my mates wife in an Sti, handbags at dawn. LukeSR
Hope you can get her finished and up and running ;)Glad you haven't stripped it, its too god damn mint
NightSpirit
Cheers chaps once again. My only concern is plumbing in the fueling as it's not something I'm too familiar with. everything else should be ok. It also needs a rad pipe or two as they were cut inhalf and just flapping in the wind...going to have to be custom due to the tiny rad.Forgotten how small and simple it is next to the R32 it's drawfed by the German war machine
RobSR
Nice to see she's back on your drive! Lol I would happily give you a hand if I didn't live so far away! What fuelling bits have you actually got to fit? R
NightSpirit
Bosch 044, all kinds of aeroquip to feed the twin feed rail, racing FPR and inline filter and that's about it...oh there's no fuel level indicator which could be tricky.
Liam_D
Glad its back where it belongs mate, Still looks immense to say its been stood for 8 months, Good luck with getting it back up and running buddy. It needs to be back eating the 'Ring
NightSpirit
The Golf is pretty damn sexy at munching Ring too...taken Sunday Notice my wife along for the ride on one lap!
LukeSR
That carbon bonnet just does it
NightSpirit
I've kept the R subtle as it's the family car. Black xenons, badges, carbon bonnet, carbon filter and 6 pot Porsche turbo brakes. Understeers a lot but is progressive and easy to read.

NightSpirit
My wife's given up on me I think...plus she knows if she complains my solution is to buy another car.Still contemplating stripping the EP as I haven't even taken the cover off it yet in 3 weeks. I've made a deal with my wife that if we buy a house I buy a Radical SR3.
ecksjay
it understeers as it weighs about 17 tonnes. ;]
NightSpirit
Why would I drive a house round the Ring ecks?
