The Goverment have released the list of cars that were scrapped in 2009 under the scrappage scheme which meant if you scrapped your old car (had to have an mot) you got two grand of a brand new motor cracking deal eh? There is many cars on the list you have to think if it was worth it but heres a few screenshots of the list. I was just starting off being a mechanic when the scrappage scheme was ending, fuckin loads of mint motors got traded into my work to be scrapped. An old guy swapped in a Lexus LS400, few decent Mercs an stuff, madness. And theres literally nothing you can do about it aswell :/

There was a similar scheme in Japan, Enzo said that and the Tsunami made it near on impossible to import 4paws and stuff over. There seems to be a very wasteful attitude to cars in Japan, probably why we buy so many of their cars when theyre finished with them. Shorty said if he didnt buy that silve r5dr 85 they would have just scrapped it

Yeah the japanese goverment puts up tax ect on older cars, so the older they get the more expensive to run, hence why they are exported, its the japanese way of keeping their car industry alive and profitable

Its sad really just hope motors that got scrapped are crash damaged or dodgy mots, wasabi cars on youtube are good for seeing some rare abadoned jap motors he has a video on a gt turbo as well
