Robs Precision Boosted Track Build..She's for sale......

Recommended Posts

Nah she runs, just with a small fuel leak, need to get that sorted before it goes off for its exhaust but that won't be too long now hopefully. Then ill get a map on it, and build an engine Jan/Feb/March.

Ah I've gone for soft as I'm not really gonna drive it all that much on the road. Glad to hear you've had a good experience with them. If they are pap ill throw some dunlops or yoko's on but i couldn't not give them a go for the cost.

Yea thats the only down side, semi's do come up wide tho, so they'll basically be a 205 in a normal tyre. You can get R888s or R888r's in that size tho which will go on an 8J rim, which a road going 205 wouldn't.

Oh got all my AN-10 fittings and hose for the rest of the breather system too. Will get that done at the weekend, doing everything in large sizes soon adds up.. i don't mind spending money on her but its hilarious that two fittings and two meters of hose was 70odd quid :crazy:

Theres been a distinct lack of updates due to some personal reasons but work is continuing...Ordered a new walbro pump today to sent to Rob so the custom tank take off can be finished..Some pics below some may find interesting...

She's defo not going to leak..Got some long stem fittings so it can be welded both ontop and underneath the take off plate. AN-8 feed - AN-6 return..

Collected the last bits to finish the exhaust... Decided to go for a front exit for now due to weight saving. Want the car as light as possible. 2.5" > 3" tapered design to help with egts. Will try and get some pics of it going together!

Im starting to get a little excited now as i can actually see it being on the road relatively soon now. Fingers crossed for no more niggles!

Literally now:

- Finish rear brakes

- Finish welding exhaust

- Fit new custom fuel pump hanger when it arrives back which should be next week!

After that i think ill get a basic map on her and then start attacking the bodywork as I'm not a fan of the 96 spec front, its being built for track so needs some aero, and it needs to be white!

As my bonnet wasn't in the best of shape Russ had one in better condition than mine, still not perfect but it'll do till it gets changed for an FRP item. Its been painted at some point rather averagely and is patchy so started wet sanding it and polishing it up. Ive finished it and now fitted it but I've not seen it in the light so i hope the colour match is okay.! Sourced a carbon reverse scoop again as a stop gap.

Quick 50:50 - the line on the right is a reflection of the strip light not a scratch!

Finishing the breather system, should have a race-tech catch can turning up at the start of next week too.

AN-10 goodness i put together :)
