BMX-RIG
The car was back in use again with april bringing some warmer weather. Just enjoying it as it was for the minute. Having had trouble free rear calipers for the whole time ive owned it i thought i was doing ok but knew their time was coming. One on the drivers side had started sticking. A bought a set of a friend who i rebuilt them for only a short time ago. I stripped them back down for a clean, regrease and paint to match the wms. Also painted a spare tmic bracket. BMX-RIG
Ready for the new calipers i thought id replace the bearing dust cover. Annoyingly the first one turned damaged so that was exchanged. Calipers fitted. Wheels needed a clean in these photos so apologies. New genuine pads in at the same time, discs didnt warrant changing yet. Couple of rear enders at a local afternoon meet, Since fitting the wepr manifold i had thought about making a heat shield for it. I used the oem one as a template and had to come up with my mounting points. Before mocked up, Finished result, not sure how functional it is but it should serve a purpose. Also covers up the mild steel mani. All cleaned up ready for the Bicester Heritage meet. Edited May 30, 2019 by BMX-RIG

So had so cleaning up to do upon arriving at silverstone.

BMX-RIG
Heres a collection of photos from japfest,
BMX-RIG
Scuttle end clips sorted out, the bottom part also needed replacing to allow a new one to fit. I got hold of a matching defi racer boost gauge. Mounted the sensor on the back of the inlet on a small bracket. I moved the temp gauge down and put the boost gauge along side it. Wanting to clear the top of the dash up. You can just see the fuel gauge still so its not all bad. Next show was JdmCombe, no ukso stand here so i was on with another small starlet club. Obvious pre show fill up.
BMX-RIG
Most recently made a few minor changes/ additions. Cambelt 100k warning sticker. The wiring for the purifier was more suited for something with a fixed parcel shelf. The plug to disconnect was right by the purifier and just looked wrong. It needed a plug fixed by the speaker loom. So i bought a wiring loom with the speaker plug in and chopped them out. Added the 5th wire required for the purifier and soldered/ heat shrinked and taped it back together. Im no auto electrician but i think it came out alright. Before, The quick release cable tie was used so the parcel shelf could easily be removed but the wiring kept tidy. Wires cut, finished product, Swapped out the oem speakers as they had seen better days. Would like to revisit the install at some point. Twin plug setup, While doing this i decided to relocate the Sard Attack Meter. Tested its new home. Looks much better i feel. No wires all over the place now either. Thats all for now 👍🏻 Edited June 23, 2019 by BMX-RIG

Looking forward to seeing it come back together after the paintwork! SO... without further ado, June 2019 i took the car on its annual trip to the isle of wight to see my girlfriends family. I actually really love the trip, weathers usually been great unlike the mainland, its like it has its own climate lol. Run down the A34 is always awesome too. Down in Southampton waiting to board the ferry. Boarded we luckily timed it with the great boat race which was pritty cool. I take photos in the spot every year! Home time after a faultless trip. Few scraps of the floor brace as usual! ☹️ Back in the service station. Almost did the whole trip on one tank of fuel!
Bopthebear
Love the confetti recaros and it's awesome to see something so clean still being used mate hope it's had plenty baths lol
BMX-RIG
Got a photo in almost the exact spot i parked the car in when i first picked it up from southampton! Here it is with my trusty daily sr i had at the time. 4 years later, Spare engine and gearbox mounts blasted and powdercoated, Next up was japfest at donnington, a spot in the middle of the track which made a change. pre show clean, Thanks to tom selby for these two, used to be a glanza owner Here it is at a local show to the work in kimbolton. Classic car show with a great variety. Now this has to be one of my favourites! Not all things are plain sailing though, picked up a chip on the number plate panel and it bugged me for ages, not even sure how it got there. Had to get it rectified. Also a good opportunity to fit all 5 new securing clips. One and only photo from Beaulieu lol The car then got a deep clean in preparation for the Japanese indoor car show. Wheels off to gain some good access to the calipers and discs. The novelty of cleaning white wheels 24/7 wears off quickly!

Altho im in two minds whether to swap the centre with my other recaros... confettis are staying for now though! (Auto because daily😆)Plenty of baths ofc! Needed one after all the dust from the trip! I try to use it still where i can otherwise ill loose interest, driving is just as fun as playing with bits!
Bopthebear
Them centres are pretty sick as well buttt I think the confetti has that 90s car look - tough choice 😂 Yeah I'm needing to use mine not really used him much since I've owned it
