ReeceGolliker Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 So I'm thinking about buying a daily for whilst I'm in Manchester, main criteria is;In order; Not French Cheap as possible Reliable as possible Cheap to run/insure Look okThinking a Lupo/civic or maybe a NA starlet? I'm only 20 and my girlfriend would probably drive it over summer whilst I'm in the glanza so cheap on insurance is a must! Any suggestions would be great! Cheers, Reece. Quote
Walker96 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Na starlet matey! Mines loads of fun even on track lol good on fuel Quote
Dale SR Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I would go for a standerd starlet. They really are the best most reliable car for the money. Quote
akyakapotter Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 n/a starlet i have one as my work horse its so slow though will be ideal for a run around Quote
silverep82gt Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 If its a daily go for a vag derv. Decent on fuel cheap insurance and good to drive Quote
StuDoc 72 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Depends what kind of money your spending on the car itself. Quote
morgey Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 E11 corolla. Comfy, reliable, fun and loads of space for the size of car. Bug eyes have a 4efe or 4afe 1.6Facelift have vvti engines which tend to burn oil. Quote

StuDoc 72 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Insurance would be a fortune at 20 though Quote
aleximport25 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 An na starlet ticks all the boxes :-) get a sr or a 4paw would be spot on if we had snow 😂 But a 4paw isn't cheap :-( Quote
Whitenoize Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Ep3 mate hands down just got one myself for a daily or a Corolla t sport or if you just want cheap and reliable get a na starlet Quote
ReeceGolliker Posted January 13, 2016 Author Posted January 13, 2016 I'm going towards an NA starlet to be honest! my Glanza isn't too bad on insurance to be honest! its difficult to get a slow boring daily car when theirs lots of cool stuff like a EF civic etc, but i know that won't be reliable haha! daniel_g Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 You can get all sorts for less than 1k. Best cars ive had for that money have been lexus gs300 and a subaru legacy wagon. They didnt tick all the boxes hence why i got rid but there are always really good cars out there for cheap. Quote
ReeceGolliker Posted January 13, 2016 Author Posted January 13, 2016 Struggling to think of anything that isn't generic cheap first car type of thing haha Quote
kbond Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I have a corolla e12 2.0 d4d, I paid 1k for it and its great, so comfy and have everything you need in a daily Quote
Johnboy GT Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I use a Renault Trafic as a daily, and it's bloody handy for me especially whilst renovating the house.John Quote
