glanzanut22
It's been a long time coming, but finally I have found the car I have always wanted.I purchased it via Ireland on the 4th of March, and initially I'm really happy with its condition for being a 28 year old car.Coming home on the boat.I have a day of severe detailing planned for tomorrow. This should also allow me to inspect the car and see what little marks are needing sorted.I'm also going to remove the terrible kenwood head unit, and fit a new pioneer Bluetooth system. Many pics to follow soon............ glanzanut22
So got a bit done today.I'm in no way into big sound systems, but I do like a nice quality system for listening to tunes.First on the order for today was to bin the old Kenwood unit. The wiring loom behind it was also a hacked messSo I fitted correct iso connectors and took a switched live to the loom for correct on/off operationThen fitted a nice new media unitNext up is the speakers, as there was none whatsoever in the front. And old kenwood box types on the shelf which are very jdm, but completely naffed. So got some vibe 4 components with tweeters and went for a front stealth install. Passengers side was easy enough but had to think outside the box on the drivers.PassengersDrivers mounted down near fuse boxI'm going to put 6x9s in the back but make a stealth shelf so as to not damage the original.Had to take it to my mates garage today as the slave cylinder blew a seal, so had no clutch. While there decided it would be a good time to waxoyl the car.First I wiped down the chassis with panel wipe. Then gave it a severe dose of waxoylMore pics soon, things will happen fast and furious. It's going in for a full respray soon, and wheels are on route from Japan Edited March 8, 2016 by glanzanut22

glanzanut22
Got a few other things done today.Fitted a rear fog for the mot.Made up a back plate for the switch from scratch and reckon it looks pretty neat. Also fitted a genuine Trd gear knobThen got on to the job of the stealth shelf for the rear speakers.First I used the oem shelf as a template on to some 12mm ply I had spareThen mounted the 6x9s Next I used some foam to pad it out to give a better finish once it's covered in fabric. And stapled it in to position. Then I pulled some black fabric tight over the shelf, and again stapled in to position.Once fitted I think it's as best looking as you could want.
