  1. I'd say the potentially most expensive issue is gearbox solutions Interested to hear what folks have tried to overcome that. Billet gearset would be ideal at a price point of roughly 1.5k new But never likely to happen Phil
  2. Super to hear of the progress Phil
  3. Think Dylan's running 550 or so on his road car. Spuddys motor maybe not a great one think they went pretty mental on block strength so cooling may be out the window on a road car. (Concrete in water ways etc I think) I'd say your going about it the right way. Fuel with mainland 100ron fuel or e85 you should be grand Look forward to seeing how you get on. What's your IHI turbo? Phil
  4. I'm not sure Sean. Your likely the man to find out. I know that a big power turbo motor will make 450+ per litre That would be 585+ on a 4e I'd say to make that you would be looking every last bit from everywhere. And probably e85 or better Phil
  5. Sounds like a plan Phil
  6. Seen yous chatting about this yesterday - sounds good. Was at the show prob ten years ago in my first gt when it was help in the wee carpark, it's must have changed venue cause it's was pretty stretched even with a small number of cars! I'll plan to head up for a nosey and hopefully the gt will be running that weekend Phil
  7. Downhill jobbie Sponsorship etc etc Sounds epic craic only that it also sounds rather sore Man versus tree etc Phil

  10. made the back cover of a golf mag for wearing a silly hat at a golf event here in N.Ireland (nothing was said about my playing mind you!) also regularly made the evening news as a teenager getting off the bus from school (it was how our local news broadcasters liked to start their news pieces about George Best who happened to be living next door) thankfully anything i've done that would actually be newsworthy has never materialized into a 'captured on camera' moment Lol Im guessing you either were wonderfully awesome at something that made the news or you made it big in a metal/emo/other band at some stage Akers?? spill the beans?? Phil
  11. Someone Phil
  12. First event of this season this Saturday. will report back with some sort of update hopefully. Phil
  13. i think the grey area is that you can be discriminated against legally for how you naturally look in certain circumstances. (Modelling /PR etc) And now you have people complaining that they are discriminated against because they have changed how they look? They obviously make the changes to be different / make a statement which is perfectly fine if they accepted the stigmatism that goes with it..... But often times the people who desire to be different or stand out etc are also the sort who subconsciously wish they fitted in better. Tough stuff definitely for someone who maybe lacked identity growing up and then had themselves tattooed (somewhere obvious) to be part of something and now finds themselves wishing that they fitted better with the general pop. But the boys and girls with the tats from the holidays and what not... pure artistic visual pieces id say yes in certain circumstances/roles they could be asked to cover up but so long as they are compliant they should have the same treatment as anyone else. So definitely sign the petition, I dont think that people should be immediately discriminated against for every role just based on tatoos. So many jobs it makes no difference. A slant on that though is I've no problem with someone judging the person based on their visible tatoos (surely that's what they are there for?) but allowing your judgement to become all you think of when looking at a potential employee is shear stupidity Phil
  14. Could you fit the c63 gearset to the c160 box and fit the c52 bellhousing ? That what I want to know lol Phil

  17. Sound decision Phil
  18. Just be careful If it's a previous forged motor and you hope to just drop some 75mm pistons in cause that what it used previous well that's not the way it works Also if it's currently running 74.5mm and you hope to Rebore and run 75s then that makes a lot more sense but if your going to that hassle and expense of drop a fresh set of wiseco 75s in - machine shop will bore per cyclinder per piston and you will have nice new pins and rings Some one may be selling you a scrap block if it's already been taken out to 75mm Phil
  19. Ah yes Alamo has been a great source of bits for a while Didn't know they would supply single items like that. Cheers for the info Phil
