  1. Woo will be cool to see a concours SR I can get the stickers dude. Got a mate working on getting a near identical printed set made up atm. Or I can get a cut vinyl set which a few other members are currently rocking. Id consider the 3 spoke leather 98 spec wheel though. Almost the same just black
  2. Do the astra discs need machining at all? With the The D4d discs do you need the spacer under the disc between the hub face? Hence the reason for the extended studs im guessing. Once you have that you are good to go.
  3. I could have told you that. My corolla has 256mm brakes stock and has 14's lol I just wasnt sure corolla calipers bolted up. What discs are you going to use?
  4. Welcome Was it your car that had a huge sun strip on it. Was a black Sr?
  5. If I was to give up my cars I could move out tomorrow with spare cash to save etc. But as Most of my expenditure is on my cars, I could scrape by with £20-40 left a week for saving or special occasions but that would mean no holidays, cars shows, evenings out etc etc. So for now whilst I dont need to move out I'm not going to. Im a bit like you im in a 4 bed house my room is nearly as big as some other peoples single bed flats anyway. Sofa 40" tv on stand drumkit, doublebed Shit loads of car parts and still have plenty of space! I have a separate shower/toilet to my rents and very rarely get
  6. Old corolla gti but they are getting rare and expensive. Civic 1.6 vtec D16 or B16 but doubt you'll get either in your price range. Ford puma 1.7 or is that out the group size? Fiesta Zetec S? Bit underpowered but handle well. Micra k11 1.3 weigh less than a starlet and have the same power stock plus run 2 cats so could possibly make your own exhaust to free a few ponies up easily.
  7. My mate managed to find a full mistsi service checklist for his 6 and it was mental. Ran through it all when he got it though for piece of mind but even a basic fluid change will set you back £200 with all the diff and AYC fluids which he did every service. Think he ran mid to high 20's (26-28mpg) and could just tip to the 30's on a run Fantastic car though but be prepared to be skint whilst you own it! Haha
  8. Whats the specs or class limitations? An old 1.6 single cam vtec civic would be good. 130hp cheap mods and upgrades.
  9. Could still be the bearing. Sometimes they dont move but still make noises, my rear had gone but had no movement
  10. Bang for buck vts. N/a would be completely out classed unless you could 5efhe it. Or could you blag a cheapy old beaten up V into it?
  11. Home and single. Got the deposit but couldnt afford to do anything if I did move out which some say is a sacrifice you have to make but imo on your own that would just suck! So atm im just enjoying having cash until I meet someone and decide we want to move out. Or I get kicked out which ever cimes 1st
  12. Did you use the brakets/arms from the corolla box or did you swap them for your starlet ones? One of my boxes had different arms so the length of the throws would have been different. If it was too long it might not allow the shifter to go over far enough to allow it in 5th or reverse. Bit of a long shot but worth a mention
  13. Had a quick look on google. This popped up? http://www.reco-prop.co.uk Otherwise driveshaft shop in the U.S are renowned for there parts
  14. Do it. Be different, its a light engine so will help power weight. If you get the engine in driveshafts arent too bad to get made. Speedo and speed signal would be easiest to use swift clocks to get revs temp etc working Wiring go standalone for ease
  15. Nice. Looks pretty tidy, so what mods is it running atm? Obviously intake and I/mani. Is that a type R ex mani or?... Just weighing up the competion ;)
  16. Place local to us (J R Dain) charges £250 + VAT to open the box split down and inspect all the parts and reassemble. Any parts on top are obviously charged. A synchro's from toyota Is generally £30ish Bearings from toyota are £80-140 (theres 4 main ones) Gears vary loads from 30-60 for single ones to 250ish for 2nd which includes reverse.
  17. My 4age has them too, think the bottom of my block is stamped up with the coresponding number to cylinder iirc
  18. Yeah I remember it being a bit weird when I fit it in mine. Got it working in the end though
  19. cheers for the kind words one of the tags is a permanent earth (not needed), the other is the switch, so you put the live to the switched one and leave it to earth out on the boss when the button is pressed. the other tag is there incase your boss isn't earthed.
  20. Not what I thought sorry
  21. It might not be that quick but it will be fun and reliable. Id imagine it would be very similar to mine performance wise with maybe a bit more top end. As long as youre not on motorways or very fast B roads it will be good fun N/a
  22. Yeah that should be fine. The battery will die long before you fill that lol
  23. Debatable. My Hd hero 1 only shoots at 25fps and my mates hero 2 is 50fps I think and his is so much smoother to watch back makes it worth what extra he paid just with that, let alone the wifi abilities it boasts. It shouldnt matter anyway, if hes getting a 3 then it will have the 60fps 1080p and any other feature they have to offer.
