my mates using john deere coolant in his justy turbo, has a higher boiling point that most coolants. was also a good article in a banzai mag about waterless coolants that had a boiling point of 160C, helped prevent Det by not boiling on hotspots in the head around the combustion chambers was a good read and maybe something for the high performance boys to look into?

It was a full blown race event though. Why no Marshall or pit crew tried to stop them is beyond me. Yes he's a twat for doing it but it should never have happened in the first place. Any track day I've been on you'd never manage that as they stop and check every car, driver and passenger for the right equipment as they come to the pit exit. So why should it be any different on a race day?

Might need to remove the needle, get up to a speed on the sat nav and then put it back on where it should be. Or maybe a little bit over but nowhere near as much. Mine is 7 mph out at 120 and my corolla is 10% throughout the speedo range for reference.

Tbh. Since its not cost you anything??.. I would try learn some body work skills, try and neaten it up a bit. Cars are a fortune to insure at 17 without mods so I'd hold out until you get closer to the time and get an idea of costs
