  1. Drilling it could work i suppose...
  2. I dont have the carpet for it, and for the sake of 2 bolts its worth a try. I might need to tweak it anyway but we shall see.
  3. Yeah most things will be the same as toyota, So if one doesnt have it neither will the other. Also if you buy from different locations you will have multiple parcels so a few loads of handling fees to pay. Sometimes they offer the same part with different prices from different places. Japan and U.A.E is common
  4. Toyota dont make bearings but when I've been to bearing suppliers they cant match them even goig through the koyo catalogue which is the bearing supplier toyota use a lot of the time. Just bear in mind toyota have a lot of time and money to design and spec things how they want, when someone else comes along and copies the bearing it might not be to the same standard.
  5. Not sure. Have you run the old numbers througb toyota? They might say the same thing i think some of my bits were a revised part with a new number so might be the same situation
  6. Not gone and got any bolts yet but i decided i would try and free up my seized locks. Both the boot and drivers door locks had packed up so quickly whipped out the boot one and it was pretty obvious why... Corrosion! This is actually my corolla boot lock which was much worse but theyre almost the same. All the plates should move up and down freely and sit flush when the key is in allowing it to rotate. A lot spray oil and working the plates with a screw driver later and we have working locks. Fyi the door locks are a bit more of a pain to remove but nothing too bad.
  7. I use toyodiy to get my part numbers. If you sign up you get all diagrams and pricings too, there is another site that people use but i cant remember what it is.
  8. Www.amayama.com You'll need the part numbers for the parts you want then send in a request, they'll then email you back with a cost with shipping iirc. Import fees is a % of the total shipped cost then theres usually a £15ish handling fee this end aswell.
  9. I rebuilt half of my 6 speed box using amayama, Few bits were on Back order but had a new 5th gear 2nd/reverse hub and 4 or so shyncros, cost about £400 with import fees but toyota wanted £270 for the 2nd/reverse alone.
  10. Try toyota, or if and part nums and have time try www.amayama.com genuine parts but have to wait for import and add handling fees to the price
  11. As title has anyone ever tried taking the rear seat base material off of a V bench and sticking it on the folding/lifting Uk seat base? Im thinking it would be neat if i could fold the rear seats completely flat like in the Uk cars compared to that half folded back only in V's Im hoping its just a case of unclip one and clip the recaro cover over?
  12. Custom exhaust with a TTE tailpipe cut off from a genuine backbox lol Will be getting it extended so it sits more flush with the rear bumper though
  13. 28, still got an Sr, never even owned a boosted car 😂🙊
  14. Well I've been back a week and started looking over whats left to do, Its mostly straight forward stuff. Current list is service Fit interior plastics and back seats Fit interior light Replace Sr decals Roll arches Take exhaust off to try find rattle Swap drivers seat for my spare. Finish front strut brace Respray rear strut brace Check over car MOT Since im currently jobless I've got to be a bit careful with my spending so ill be doing anything free or cheap so Figured id start by putting the interior back in. Only thing different is i have new uncut plastics and i didnt wan

My yellow stuff took ages to bed in on my corolla. Nearly went through a junction with them after id been for a bit of a spirited drive where they were fine but after driving through a small village at the far end i nearly didnt stop. Ended up bleeding the brakes again and giving them an extra few hundred miles to bed in then they were fine.

Sounds like the pads need to get really hot to work properly, do you know what they are? The other thing you can do is boil the fluid just behind the pads, sometimes you'll need to bleed them after a good track session to get good fluid back into the caliper.
  17. Haha i do it all the time. Whats really funny is when the revs and speedo are both off the clocks and hard against the plastic surround 😂😂 I did consider a glanza one but don't like the idea of the boost lights and 180kph speedo. As for making an aftermarket one fit im not sure. If you were tech savvy you could mod the stock one so it reads differently then get a new fasica made to suit i guess but wouldnt know where to start with that

    service bolt

Think any old bolt should work.
  19. Astra disks need a spigot ring and turning down but no spacer. Someone has mentioned mr-S discs being a direct fit but not 100% on that. If you want bigger discs you can use st202 celica carriers on the levin twinpots with full size astra discs, Or full size levin discs (277mm) compared to the machined down size of 256mm
  20. It will/does but stops at 7k
  21. Dont put speedlines on they weigh a ton! Keep an eye on ebay for some cheap lightweight wheels.
  22. Yeah i just mounted mine infront of the rev counter whilst it was in. The clocks get the signal from the ecu/ignitor so doesnt make any difference where you get it from
  23. Get it off the back of the clocks thats what i did but the counter i had was too slow 😂😂
