  1. could you fit a one way valve if you wanted it on the inlet manifold/after the turbo?
  2. Tickets booked and paid for my friend, i am outta here 😂
  3. I was wrong on the cca above. It was either this one 430cca http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductMobileDisplay?catalogId=10151&categoryId=165762&langId=-1&productId=989419&storeId=10001 Or this one 480cca http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductMobileDisplay?catalogId=10151&categoryId=165762&langId=-1&productId=1305984&storeId=10001 Im pretty sure i got the silver one, bearing in mind mines starting a 1.6l, it starts it no problem even after sitting a few weeks. Only thing is, mines got UK size terminals so if yours is an
  4. The general design should be fairly universal throughout a lot of toyotas, they all use a similar style cradle system, the base and maybe the length between cable grips and arms may change but thats nothing that cant be adjusted to suit each variation. Will just be a case of getting a prototype made, installed, tested and then tweaking the final product to suit. I think for timescale side of things would skip putting bearings in and just use shoulder bolts on reamed holes. This would work fine for the best part but in time the holes may wear and you would need a new component rather than jus
  5. Well i could always sell the design 😛
  6. Can do mate, i cant promise ill get a chance to finish it though as I've less than 4 weeks left at work and i have to fit it in around their jobs.
  7. Let us know what the diagnosis is 👍
  8. It did have the original graphics on it. I sold them to the previous owner and the next time i saw it one side had been ripped off
  9. Could be a heap of things tbh. To check wheel bearings jack the front up and put a hand top and bottom of the wheel and try rock the wheel. If it feels like its rocking then the bearing needs doing. Do the same left and right on the wheel. This can test track rods and steering rack if you feel any knocking. You could also have a driveshaft gone. They have a bush half way down them which if knackered can cause vibration. Engine mount. Again if worn may cause a judder when pulling away. If youre not sure id get a garage to have a look imho.

    The new Yaris

As long as it drives well and they allow warrenty on tuned cars like most the other hot hatches it should sell ok. Trd, fensport and the likes will have aftermarket support pretty quickly and maybe varis will hop on board like they did with the gt86 and make a nice kit for it
  11. Ended up going for a yuasa battery (from halfords) 580cca 5 year guarantee iirc, used a trade card and got it for about £45. Was looking for a solid cell race battery but they dont have a big reserve so alarms and radios will soon run them flat. The other option was optima or varley but i ended up being a cheap skate haha
  12. I could make it but id need a starlet shifter 1st of all. I dont mind buying one then i can knock one up and see if it works. From there i guess it would be a case of finding someone to make it on a more cost effective scale. I.e laser/water cutter for the major components then finishing up on a mill.
  13. I think fensport do them, could also try id-workz and tuning developments which are both traders on here
  14. I might change things a bit more, i like the idea of it beig fully adjustable, hence the upper and lower arms being able to be moved in and out and locked with grub screws. I might make the rocker arm on the side ajustable as well but I've already reduced the side to side throw by about 10% by shortening the arm one way and extending the other.
  15. Spent a bit nore time playing with ideas, made it into something more recognisable, think the base design would work, ideally it needs bearings adding but im going off the idea of shoulder bolts that we use on mould tools at work for the time being. This is based on a corolla shifter so measurements will be slightly different but its 99% the same. One of the base mounting holes is right where the main structure is so will need to do something with that and obviously finish off all the missing parts. Left movement, there will be two shoulder bolts to allow the bearing cage to slide in a
  16. I think carbon gi and glanza S bonnets would be a great seller. If i had a turbo and was in the market for a bonnet it would be one of them
  17. Well I've spent a bit of time looking at the design into making a billet ally shifter. The toyota one is a bit more complicated to the honda one but I've got the main pivot mechanism sorted, I've opted away from the ball type and gone with something different but it will allow for much greater adjustablity and will look pretty special if i get a chance to make it. This is just a mock up to see if the 2 pivots will work, the outer box would be a frame running down to a base and forward to the cable mounts. I've also Just now figured out how to allow the left
  18. Never run and cnc grinders like they'd probably use but id throw myself in at the deep end haha.
  19. Visiting, for now. Unless you knowbof any jobs haha.

They'll leave the styling bits to TRD and gazoo racing (previously TTE)
