Sounds good, nice to see things happening with a bit more often now. On a side note ill be in Auckland around 8th-16th march, might see if i could swing by and you can take me for a spin ;) -
Well if someone had an old shifter they didnt want i could have a look at it lol
-
If i wasn't quitting my job I'd be inclined to try knock something up at work.

Mainly weekend with the odd track day/afternoon

My mates got a mk6 with basically a 200hp package, cams, cosworth inlet larger TB, manifold + exhaust and a remap and its now he car it should have been when it left the factory. Pulls really well to the redline even 3s up. However stock they are a rather dull underpowered car

Really pushing your luck with that belt. Bit of a grey area regarding being an interference engine some say they are some disagree. I would 100% change it before you snap it just to save yourself any possible damage. -
I was under the impression the 2 mounting brackets were different, The ones that bolt to the chassis rails?
-
You just adjust it so tht the rear axle is centered when the car is on its wheels. It doesnt really serve a handling purpose as such other than bringing the rear beam back in line with the front wheels once the car has been lowered.

The price tag on them K-tuned honda shifters is about £300 iirc.
-
Yaris has only just been announced getting an offical unveiling soonish i believe. Packing a 1.6t with atleast 210hp though! Got a lot of competition chassis wise with clio and fiesta ST too though Haven't seem much about the RS fiesta
-
Hold out and try the yaris? Fezzie is good but a very common car now but for good reason as they with hold their warrenty even when tuned.

They have these sort of things for hondas. Some are beautiful
-
Ahh fair enough. Did make me wonder though haha
-
Why didnt you just wire in the ep91 stalks to fit the 82 wiring?
-
It curls away from the belt as well. Seen it been put on facing it and the belt doesn't last long lol

Do not run too much boost on stock manifold, theres a restriction in one of the runners which can lead to piston failure.
-
Im sure i saw a video of someone just vaping into the intake piping before to find a vac leak 😂😂
-
Most I've seen always are a pisstake. Had a friend with a hole in his block told the rac he needs a low loader flatbed recovery. 1hour later They send a man in a van to inspect to repair. Instantly rings though a truck. 2 hours later Along comes a normal flatbed who instantly rings through for a low loader queue another hour+ wait I think id rather just pay extra and get what i need 1st time.

No the key can stay in the crank. The sproket will pull off over it as long as its fairly flat. But if its loose it should find its own way flat with any luck.

Ae111 Levin twinpot calipers. St202 celica carriers gt (3sge engine) Astra 1.7tdci 277mm discs You will need a spigot ring machined up to fit the discs to the hubs but other than that its bolt on 277mm upgrade with a thicker disc as well
-
Tap the front down and use a set of pullers to remove the sproket with the key in place.

Cool little build this. Be good to see it buzzing around some tracks. Weight is a bit of a funny one but you should see low 800s i reckon, i had my 20v swapped uk spec on a weight bridge. Full interior, full tank of fuel. Very light weight wheels. And was 940kgs thats electric windows and mirrors, rear wiper all sound deadening still inplace. Obviously the 20v is a heavier engine being a 1.6 and there was 40kgs of fuel on board. Its hard to judge the weight of everything and the difference in engine weight so will be interesting to see what you can get it down to regardless
