  1. Ooo i might have to switch for a grey set if thats possible. Think it would be a bit more sutble in my bay
  2. Thats a good point, i suppose you dont actually need to support it against the gearbox casing which i was thinking you would have to do, you just need to brace them together so the cant push apart. The reason i was thinking using the 6 speed is obviously you can retain the 5 speed functionality if you put a support carrier in but also the 6 speed box has bearings in the end casing as well supporting the far end of the 2 shafts for extra support. Problem you have is with removing a gear you then have to redesign the selector shaft aswell to accommodate for the moved gear. Not a big problem but
  3. Any pictures of the grey and/or black and what sort of price or numbers would be needed for them?
  4. The problem i have with leaving them in is i have to stick it on parallels on the rocker face leaving the block face at an angle. The problem here is i dont have a fly cutter big enough to stick the head on the mill over and do it in one cut. So if i can remove them i can clamp it on an angle plate much easier and clock the head flat and buzz over it that way. I can also use the cnc then which is much more accurate. Ideally i would use a surfsce grinder but we dont have any wheels suitable for ally. Cheers for the tip though, i have large ovens at work so could always bake it in of them fo
  5. Essentially what you want to do is take a 6 speed box and convert to 5 speed by doing what you just said. Would still be a crazy amount of work though!
  6. Anyone know if these are removable and if so are they just push fit. Im asking as im going to be skimming a 4efe head and these are going to make it a pain

I've got a set of green ones that currently dont work? 😂
  9. You dont even need a one man bleed kit, just make sure the line coming off the caliper is well submerged in brake fluid that way it will only draw up fluid. One man bleed kits are ok but the ball valve never seems to seal completely i find.
  10. Ep82 touge on here is in japan maybe drop him a message?
  11. Id try getting in contact with some uk importers mate. They have contacts in japan so could possibly go directly to them and try get the info that way.
  12. Its a tercel with a ep82 front end swap
  13. Toyota aren't any better. One of my engines doesnt have full engine number. Email toyota UK a few times and get a contact that can email japan for me. Few weeks later i chase them up to be told JP emailed back a couple of weeks earlier but they didnt forward it on. Not much use though as they just said the cars too old to be on their databases and that all cars come with an engine number, i need to go to toyota uk so they can point me towards it. Basically toyota JP know they had a few levins leave the factory without engine numbers and now they just refuse to acknowledge it! Hope you ha
  14. Cheers. I think theres something about the black on silver that just works, maybe they could do with the factory 45 profile tyres but oh well. Might actually get back to it and try find why the horns not working now the lazy Christmas holz are out the way.
  15. You dont actually cut the axle. The stub axle is made of 2 plates welded together, You just cut the welds off to split the plates in 2 and bolt them back together with shim in between to allow for camber. Loads of cars come like it from factory.
  16. Cutting the stub axles and 1/2 the flange off. Drilling out bolt holes and adding camber shims in is one way. Only a couple of people on here have done it. Mikey the fish and amjad have iirc
  17. You can get rack quickeners bit of work involved to fit as it involves cutting your column and mounting under the dash and possibly welding. Not really looked that much Im sure theres some in the uk but heres an example http://www.qspproducts.com/steeringrack-quickener-1-1-5-ratio.html#.WGp698unzqA
  18. Thats pretty sound, i know i wont have much use for the engine ones but im sure ill find a use for the bits else where on either of the cars
  19. Reckon ill take an N/A set in red. Will be a few bits left over but will smarten it up regardless

  22. If youre still a bit unsure remove the bush and try the Alk on over the sleeve. You'll soon be able to tell if it needs removing
  23. Cut the bush and sleeve off, The ALK sits on the pin that remains.
  24. Cut that sleeve off carefully and it pops right on
