The 7afe is not a bolt in engine, just because it looks the same its far from it. Its the same amount of work fitting a 4age. The only bolt in engine is other E series engines 1e 2e 3e 4e 5e variants

4age has an E58 gearbox as a straight bolton option very strong from the get go but very hard finding one.

A k20 with some select mods and a map is surprisingly grunty even in an ep3, thats in a 1250kg car. Loosing 300kgs will make heaps of difference to the lowend. But like any car if left in top gear of course its going to be slow

Theres 2 rotary eps that were started but i never saw one finished. Both will be a lot of work but rotary will require tunnel work and mounting of a rear axle etc. If you're competent and have a bit of cash to splash then anything is possible

Yeah its going to get these little issues over time. I have got a pair of doors here which are much straighter than the ones on it so its either a trip to dent devils to see what they can do or swap them over. With them on, new stickers and new wheels she will be pretty tidy, bit of sprucing up in the bay and swap to my spare recaro and that will be better still

Finally, We have progress, this was the reason it didnt make jae but theres always next year i guess! This was friday just before i headed up to JAE. Quater has been pulled out and filler applied to any ripples/creases left. But its not been flatted back yet in this pic Then popped back in after work today to see how it was getting on. Front bumper has had the rub strips filled and has had the first coat of primer rear has also been primered along with the quater/rear light area. My car has the standard dents/crease above the drivers door so thats going to be smoothed and painted to avoid any blending whilst its in there too. Its wrapped up like a present haha Should have it back thursday if all goes to plan. Will just have my vented bonnet left to be painted

No i have discs but theyve been more trouble than they were worth. I've rebuilt them twice and followed colins advise on how to set them up and they still dont work very well. If you are doing lots of track then yes discs are worth while if you can get them to work but be prepared for hassle. My daily corolla still has drums and i wont be changing them as theyre 16 years old and still work spot on with original shoes still.

Ep82 axle is narrower. Also just need calipers lines cables ideally want to change the bias valve too. But stock drums are 1000x better they just work lol
