  3. Insurance companies aren't the issue people not declaring and the government changing how to declare stuff are. My starlet i tried to declare as a 1.6, updated the v5 sent off, to then have it sent back with a a letter stating i need to provide proof of the engine swap. Ok fair enough, headed letter from a garage etc etc. Off it goes again and alls peachy I then try to declare my corolla with an engine swap exactly the same headed letter and all, but now theyve changed how you do it. I now have to go to the post office and tell them i need to pay more tax then use the tax number on that to f
  4. If you're going to be breaking you will need to make a thread and fill in the fields. Rules are rules im afraid.
  5. What did it run down the strip?
  6. A mate did it on his mk2 golf, did the mirrors and center of a momo steering wheel, they weren't perfect but still looked good for a diy job. Ill whip the brace off tomorrow, need to spray the ends gun metal first then i can crack on with the wrap.
  7. If i can get results half as good as this ill be happy. I should have some left afterwards so i might have a go at some more complicated stuff like window switches later.
  8. CF Skinning kit turned up, can see it being a right pain but will watch some how2's on youtube and go from there. Heres what it contains. Basecoat, Resin, hardener, mixing pots and 1mx30cm Carbon sheet. I measured the section of the brace i want to cover at about 77cm x 17cm so i only get one shot at it!
  9. Yeah use full engine loom from a 4efte. Then like you say power and earths, the engine loom goes into the fuse box in the bay as well which will need splicing in. You'll need fuel pump, oil light, engine light, all will need wiring through to the 106 dash loom, Starter signal and a fair heap more go from bay fuse box through to the dash. Its best to label/list everything then do the same on the 106 and basically stick them together. Thats the principle we followed when sticking the 4ages in both my cars
  10. Stopped in after work on friday to make a couple of little brackets to mount my header/overflow tank. Still need to shorten the hose and Will have to whip the bumper off to bolt the lower bracket to the chassis rail but you get the idea. Also ordered a CF skinning kit to wrap the center part of my TRD brace. Hopefully that will come out ok. Will now have to raid my spare doors for a new door handle though as i think i broke mine opening the door 😕 Finally my mates free in a couple of week to help wire in the PS pump so might be ready for an mot early july! 😃
  11. If the battery is flat no, if its just struggling to start but the battery is charged then possibly It could be a power lead earthing out, That would drain the battery but that should blow a fuse.
  12. Can you post some external pictures please, its not specified but would help your sale
  13. Back when you were cool you mean 😜
  14. Will be a little bit different when its back on the road. Mounts are poly filled, will have an electric powersteering pump, carbon centered trd brace and a relocated header tank bottle
  15. What a bargain, cracking buy that well done 👍
  16. Welcome to the party 😉
  17. I dont mean they dont nake power, just I've not seen anyone post any results from them.
  18. Its an american brand, its actually for the 5efe so is a bit taller than a 4efe but the mani will fit. Not actually seen any power figures from one though
  19. Sounds like your ignition system is on your acc circuit not on your on circuit. Im assuming your Barrel goes Off/lock Acc On Start Acc is usually just general stuff like radio, fan blower maybe. It sounds like your ignition relay is somehow powered by the acc circuit, radio supply maybe?. But without seeing how youve done it its very hard to say exactly whats happening.
  20. Yeah not cheap, my hks one cost me about £350, needed some touching up but new its about £900 landed in the uk. No way id pay that price. £350 was too much really haha
  21. Tbf for a manifold its not a bad price at all. I just find it crazy how before they had a name for themselves obx would sell stuff at half the price, If not less. You should look at the price of some 4age 20v manifolds, big jap brands are £450 plus shippig minimum and go upto about £800
