  1. Got any advice for a car thats been sitting for a while, been under trees so lots of sap and crap, washed it earlier and theres literally visual lumps of stuff stuck to the car. Any decent products to loosen it first? Any extra steps to add to the above guidelines?
  2. Thread cleaned as requested. Please keep the handbags at bay ladies 😜
  3. Paint stripper but mask up the centers so it doesnt go on them. Or you can rough sand paper it off then work your way up to a high gloss finish with finer and finer paper 1500-2000. Then get some metal polish on there to finish them off. My mate used nitro mors to strip his clear coat then sanded and polished upto a gloss finish
  4. Thread cleaned, upon request of OP Its up to the buyer to barter the price they're happy to pay
  5. Sounds ace, hows the gearing compare between C and E series? Any longer or about the same?
  6. We wont be driving like nutters as we dont know the roads unfortunately, you can be a pace car next time im up here 😉 lol but cheers for the heads up on the unmarked 👍 Ahh cool, shame we looped the wrong way coulda stopped off for a go haha
  7. Yeah shame im not here longer, were literally here for a drive up from norfolk lol. Just went out on the a835 then off on some random little road down along side a loch that i cant remember maybe the a832?. Brilliant stretch of road. Staying in muir of ord tonight then off down the a82 tomorrow the either going to do the a84/85 down to sterling or stay on the a82 and run by the lochs. Not decided yet.
  8. One red V, a dark green gt and a black gt I was heading the other way in my corolla
  9. He will be getting banned, sorry it took this long
  10. I would love these. Glwts!
  11. I've Brought to the admins/mods attention 👍
  12. It will work fine for the best part and finding any low spots around bores etc but if theres any warpage it wont show that as much. I know warpage should get pulled straight when bolted down but if its straight in the first place its always better. Anyway thats just my 2p lol Its a strange one that it went though none the less
  13. There will be a service spec for the headbolts. The FSM will have the original spec and max stretched length. If you're unsure of the history of the car/engine its worth replacing for peice of mind. As for your head, i would have dropped it at a machine shop and had them run a dti over it to test for flatness. Would only take them 2 mins and you'd find out any issues. Is a much better method than the straight edge and slip gauges imo
  14. 5efhe is higher compression and Has the acis inlet manifold so better power/torque throughout the rev range, Ecu will be mapped differently to suit. Think the 5efhe has a higher rpm limit and beefier rods as well
  15. What the 5efe and 5efhe? And i highly doubt you'd need bigger injectors. A few breathing mods is hardly going to strain stock ones.
  16. Think the 5efe is 90-95 and the 5efhe is 110 iirc. Plus you get the bonus of the extra torque. It should bolt in but the real question is what wiring would need doing. The engine to ecu will be fine but i doubt it will match up with the dash plugs or the engine bay fuse box either. Probably not too much work if your confident with a multimeter though
  17. They should have dumped the 5efhe in the Sr atleast it would have had a bit of go to match the show to start with. Never got the point of doing a sports model thats got the same performance as every other model lol
  18. Yeah id say silver were most common even though im sure there was 250 of each color produced. Haha Theres loads of zetec S fezzies round here. All rusty mind but loads none the less.
  19. Did it on a blackbsr with 25k on it near my years back. Never got a call, was gutted. Theres was a silver sr in norwich with a tow bar on it and a black sr in great yarmouth/Lowestoft with an old couple driving it. Also seen a silver Sr down on the m25 a few months back, that needed a new set of stickers. Was another silver Sr in a small town near me too. However I've never seen a white Sr driving about, and I've been looking a long time haha
  20. Heading up there this weekend. Not sure how far up we'll get but ill be sure to try check out some of these routes
  21. Club4ag is also a great source of info and the corolla brotherhood i think is a page for older corollas
  22. About £90 shipped i think. Was that lukes one? Think he sold it to sam nadeem the corolla forum breaker. I wish they came with a 20v, they would have had the go to match the looks then
  23. Thats whats on the inside of mine along with a load of recycled stamps lol
  24. Cheers dale, i much prefer the FL over the bugeye but the older engine is better than the vvti one that this came with. Haha no way! There was one for sale in ireland i nearly had but i decided i didnt want to spend more than i needed to on this since its just a daily lol
  25. Yeah they look like n/a ones. Plus I've never even seen Glanza ones anyway
