4agte EP71 from New Zealand - 11.8@119mph
morgey replied to Stu's topic in EP70 & EP71 Progress Blogs
Swap to a different box or just a fresh one? -
The corolla tsport compressors and vw g-ladder didnt have coolers. And the toyotas are running on a stock 11.5-1 comp engine. The lotus exige S is running higher boost than that but not sure if they're I/cooled or not
-
Yep very rare option, the same woth aircon
-
The biggest issue i can see there is making a solid bracket to mount the charger to the engine with for obvious reasons it cant be mounted to the chassis. Id be more inclinded to move the overflow bottle and flip it 180 degrees and mount it above the PS pump as making solid brackets will be much much easier as it wont be as far from the block, shorter mounting = sturdier mounting.

Ae111 BZR LSD in starlet C series box
morgey replied to PaddyDoyle's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
No bzr boxes use 8 bolt diffs so drop into turbo boxes, not na ones. Use your starlet cups and driveshafts -
My corolla with levin twinpots is doing exactly this only after fitting the twinpots. If its not that then its driveline related as its coming from osf most noticably

Ae111 BZR LSD in starlet C series box

Yes it will fit. You will need to swap the ring gear from your current diff. Everything from your starlet will fit fine. -
Been running the rainsport 3's a while now and other than the 1st initial run in being very noisey theyre pretty good, seem to have a lot of grip under heavy breaking and the same with fairly spirited driving. I've not pushed them that much but im pretty happy with them, theyre deffo on par with t1r's for dry weather and will no doubt be heaps better in the rain.

Mk3 mr2/mrS wheels look similar but theyre 15" this appear to be 14"

Welcome along, recognise you from a few corolla forums. Know all about 4age 16v oil pump issues haha i had one go after 75miles Sure we'll be of some help for you for the conversion, and if the sills or rear arches ever go i think I've got some ae92 replacement panels floating about

33367-12101. Tbh for the cost of them and the hassle of doing it again, I would do the lot anyway. 2nd and 3rd are common to go so id do them as a minimum. Be warned though the dog gears can wear as well and they are £100-250 depending on which ones gone. I had to replace 2nd gear dog which houses reverse and that was the most expensive one lol

Whilst on lunch. The rest of the time its cnc or injection moulding machines left right and center.

Looking good dude. You'll prob find the rear calipers will seize again, if thats the case change the rubber boots over the sliders for new ones and use silicon grease as the rubber absorbs normal stuff then swells and binds.
-
You can also bed the wastegate valve in just like the ones in your head.

Speedlines are a heavy alloy. 9.5kgs each without a tyre about 17kgs with. So id imagine would be slightly heavier than a steelie. The book specs only state 2 different 0-60's 10.9 and 11.2, base spec with steelies and manual everything being quicker and spec'd up models like the SR and gls etc being the later. What would you prefer a slower better looking car or a marginly faster bad looking one?

Crystal front lights and a lip help loads then obviously being lowered helps. but tbf the glanza bumpers are just deeper plus have optional front lips available, then you get many more options from aftermarket suppliers as well so the variety is massive
-
Yeah theres plenty of us running at least some glanza parts. Just have a quick look through the ep91 n/a section and you will soon see the amount of reps there are. Theres only a select few of us that opt to keep the n/a front end haha

Ooo check you out Its not the one on the bendy pole is it?

Ahh thats cool then, could have been a disaster waiting to happen You could always run twin chains if using a bike chain
