Not all lsd's work like the above mentioned. The oem levin lsd's require a torque input to lock which wont happen with both wheels in the air. Clutch types generally will though. Then youve got the more obvious oem starlet lsd which is a big cone off the side of the box behind the engine.

EP Owners WE NEED YOU! Stats for UK!?
morgey replied to Socks's topic in News & General Announcements
Toyota japan dont hold details on cars over 10 or 15 years old. I tried to find an engine number for my 98 trueno, sent emails to toyots uk who forwarded it onto toyota japan and their response was pretty blunt. We dont hold records for cars of that age lol. If they cant find an engine number theres no way in hell you'd get a replacement key -
Looking at my last update i Really am taking my time with this 😂 Oh well, sleepless night so may as well update it a bit. Gave up making my own mount inserts and sent them off to be done, so while they were being done it was time to paint the bay a bit, wasn't doing the whole lot just the main bits that looked a bit rough, still got the slam panel to do but its looking better already. Sanded it right back to get rid of as much surface rust as possible then zinc primered it to hopefully prevent it returning any time soon. Then gave it a few coats of normal primer then a few coats of

N/A vs. Turbo gearbox identification
morgey replied to PaddyDoyle's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
I think most ep91 na boxes have a black metal 5th gear casing whereas turbos tend to have an ally one. -
Bet theres a different label under that from some cheap old electrical gadget, They prob bulk buy, print some labels and slag some shit in there and flog it for £55 profit. And your mate saying it feels better... if you just wasted £60 on something wouldnt you say the same?

Both looking good, Want some new stickers for the other one?

Agree gasket gone between 2 and 3. Air in system or pump maybe the water sound but you maybe aswell do the pump whilst the HG's being done anyway
-
If you remove your seatbelts as well its fine, but i think if you have belts the seats need to be there and visa versa.

Remix is actually an oem toyota bumper but as above is discontinued. There was a N/A lip from jam or someone i think but that was for the jdm facelift na bumper. Best bet is speak to a body shop, a good one could modify a varis bumper to fit an N/A

Yeah its called google The 01270 dialling code covers Crewe and the surrounding area.

Do gearboxes have any part number?
morgey replied to Duduglanza's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
Thd guide that was on here was wrong so was a lot of mis informed people selling the wrong way round. The rib and flange on the earlier boxes was there because they used to use the same c52 casing for the old Mr2's but they had to put the shifter mech on the front of the box because they were rear engined. -
Youre talking about an n/a i assume? Basically no1 does anything for them so rather than making something that drops into the wing or is sheltered from the heat they just do the easiest thing they can
-
No jdm ecus dont have emobilisers in them. Thats why my previous engine swaps work that i mentioned above lol, I've learnt a lot since then
-
You checked for any 5 door starlets breaking on forums or ebay etc? Posting glass over seas isnt something many people like doing because of its fragile nature
-
Fair enough, as long as the buyer doesnt expect much you're ok i suppose
-
Must have been dirt cheap. Its what 900 min for shipping? So 500/600 for the car is 1500 plus 30% fees another 450 is the 1950. Plus a bit of cost for getting it on uk roads. Would leave him a few 100 profit lol
-
Also is it a 3 or 5 door as the glass is different
