  1. Other than the pump cover and everything connected to that. Or disconnect the fuel feed and return and unplug it and leave it in the tank. The filler neck will need removing obviously then its just the 4 bolts iirc.
  2. Take the pump cover off. Drain the fuel from inside the car from the pump cover. Undo the filler pipe. Support it. Undo mounts. Job done

    It would appear so lol
  4. D2's do seem to be really bad on starlets. Bc/meister do seem to be better but id still say they are both a bit much for normal roads. They just dont seem set right for the weight of the car, i have Bc's on my starlet and corolla and the corolla is a much better ride even with the dampening set harder than the starlet. Both cars run the same spring rate as well so id be tempted to run 5/3 rather than the 6/4 bc's come with. Thats if it was my daily anyway

  6. Socks is currently doing it and theres a Gt with one in, the conversion was done by woodsports i think
  7. It was an option on uk cars
  8. Isnt the gen 1 inlet a fte one? A fhe ecu might be better but its never going to be as good as a proper map as a factory ecu is always going to be a 'safe' map meaning timing has been held back and its been run slightly richer than you can go with a custom map.
  9. So much to prep a car for competitive motor sport, 2 mates have done it and the list just seems never ending , but you'd be surprised how lapse the scrutineering is at some places. Things like the fire extinguisher nozzles in the bay can pretty much be slagged anywhere (even tho regs state differently) and a few other bits they barely glance at. Obviously it will depends on the sport and the person doing it.
  10. I didnt say it was the best. Just a good alternative to the usual golf gti.
  11. Get that inlet port opened up and stick a bigger TB on there too. Should free up some ponies
  12. If i had somewhere dry to keep this i would snatch it up! Brother had a couple of these and they are a great alternative to other hatches of the era. GLWTS!
  13. Are you going to be running the core of the turbo? I assume you will have to as that houses the journals and oilways etc. Just a thought, how will the shaft hold up to being loaded up with the tension of a belt? Or are you just going to try it and find out? Lol
  14. Triumph throttles. Silicone joiners. Small mod to the tps connector to plug to a starlet harness. Vacuum manifold. Pulse reducer to get a good map signal. Rich clarke in ireland was running his on a fte ecu. Like this you're talking £200 maybe? but agree best results would be emb which can be picked up for a bit over £100 now. A wideband and some det cans and for the sake of blowing up a 4efe have a go at tuning urself. U can pick up a 4efe for peanuts.
  15. There was a guy from europe somewhere that had his mapped up. Was runninh enclosed itb's with a really good cold air feed and loads of other stuff and was making about 120hp iirc
  16. Wouldnt do much. The rear shocks dont affect any key geo, they litterally just do up and down motion so even if you did get the mounting postion slightly out i very highly doubt you'd ever notice it.
  17. I think you can drill two extra holes and rotate the shock topmount in all honesty lol
  18. Wont bolt into the n/a's either. Turbos have extra bolts 90deg to the uk strut mount holes
  19. Rw developments do a kit i think, Look in the traders section
  20. They have them in f1 for boost building between gear i think.
  21. As above het yourself a build thread up always good to see what youve got Is it an alloy rad or a stock civic one? What fan has it got and is it in the front or back and is it flowing the air the correct way
  22. I was thinking of this as soon as i saw this thread, top notch engineering 😂
