To get more power out of it. Advancing the timing gives u a little bit extra. Its an old school way of tuning from the carb daya, now-a-days the timing is advanced on the ecu when it gets mapped. But from factory they only put a small amount of advancement in because its just a generic map For every car with that engine. Tbh the best way to get your 0-60 down.... Strip the living daylights out of it, it costs absolutely nothing

You could always tweak the base timing a bit to get more out of it. But you have to be careful you dont get det/pinking/pre ifnition. If youre going to do that you can run more advanced timing with higher ron fuels because they are designed to reduce det happening. If youre not sure on it then dont do it Though

I might be wrong about the cat then it might be the gen 3 that have it in the downpipe. Yours is most likely the gen2 then since its a reflet which is an import.

The gen2 jdm engines had the cat just under the manifold iirc. If its not there and is under the car its prob a uk engine with a rolla mani fitted. what car is it youve got?

Use celica st202 carriers on the levin twinpots and some astra discs and you can have 275mm discs ;)

Arent athena ones thicker? Think trd do a 0.6mm one to bump up the compression, maybe skim the head a bit too. Custom cams or 5efhe ones. Itb's/glanza/corolla inlet mani. exhaust mani exhaust management And a map. Obviouslt freshening up the ignition system would help also.

Haha If they'd have given it some 98 spec V seats or something slightly sporty, dark grey interior elecy mirrors and 100hp it would have been a much better car stock and would have deserved the Sr badge imo

Not something silly like topmount nut loose? or even wheel bearing. My WL 24mm arb caught on the bend over the exhaust tunnel so had to hammer some lips flat to clear it. Now with my oem arb it really close to the wishbone with the alk fitted but only when jacked up theres more clearance when the cars on the ground. But WL arbs are pretty inconsistent in terms of shape so wouldnt put it off from being something like that.

Tbh after 6 iterations and calling itself the ultimate driving sim you would have thought the sound would be pretty good by now but they dont even have the likes of turbo spooling or vtec cut over lol I've always been a gt fan but when you compare it to forza with admittedly a lot less cars but all with a good damage model, great sound and full in and out detail Including mods GT was left behind in many aspects. Anyway heres to hoping project cars is a breath of fresh air

Going to see what reveiws are like. I've found theres too much going into detail and not enough gameplay lately with racing games. Also polyphony have hired a sound tech from turn 10 so they might finally have realistic sounding cars in gt7 lol
