Been riding for nearly a decade and never had a problem. Commuting is the worst, cars simply don't see you and you need to be mega alert. Tell you what, a while ago I got a set of window motors out of a 1989 toyota corina, must have been owned by an OAP or something. Took the motors out the back passenger windows. Perfect. Absolutely rapid! Cake the regulators with grease and a set of pristine motors and you'll be golden!

Got a link Colin? I am feeling TF035 more and more but don't know what the crack is just yet. From what I've read from your posts, they use the TD04 flange, so it would be a case of getting a TD04 Turbo kit, and swapping the turbo out for a TF035h?
