Hi, I was looking at this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MAMBA-GTX-Billet-Turbocharger-For-SUBARU-FORESTER-XT-TF035HM-13T-Spool-Fast-/192213532361?epid=629592280&hash=item2cc0d1bec9:g:ANsAAOSw0fhXiQB6 Wondering if anyone has any experience. A big of Googling says that Mamba aren't terrible, and that they actually were part of Kinugawa's before they split to form two companies. Anyone got any thoughts?

If it's any help, my forum uses an Imgur Plugin where you get the forum software to use a secret key. Photo uploads are proxied through your forum, but are ultimately hosted on Imgur. The upload is seemless to the user and it's just the initial upload hit that you have to worry about. I run my forum from my home on a Raspberry Pi Model 2 and that works a treat. So I imagine this site shouldn't have a problem. https://api.imgur.com/ ^^^For more information ^^^

See I was thinking the latter. Unless the Powersteering has some sort of torque steer counter measure.
-
YEah mate tht looks tidy. I would have thought it would have made it less noticeable. Surely the powersteering works in both directions. But that's just a guess. Would like to hear about this too
-
Yeah.... I fell victim to this. My Starlet is a total wreck, but I only have myself to blame...
-
Okay, well I have no experience to back any of my claims up to be fair. I will still swap the racks and columns over, but that's just me.
-
What? Yes of course it will feel different. It should be night and day between a PS Looped and a Non-PS rack.
-
First I'm hearing about swapping the bar out. The ideal solution which I intend to do is. Grab a non-powersteering rack. Grab a non-powersteering steering column. Swap out the necessary components from the non-powersteering column to your powersteering column. Fit the non-powersteering rack to your hybrid column. That way you minimise the amount of fabrication work needed. Whilst maintaining the height adjustable functionality. Of course do as you please, but it will drive a lot nice if you use a non-powersteering rack.

I have been looking into this, but ideally you will want to replace the steeringbrack with an EP80 rack and column.

Rubix's Daily JZX100 Toyota Chaser Barge

You say that, my friend has both and evo 5 GSR and subaru spec c and they get absolutely battered day in, day out. I kid you not when I say thrashed within an inch of its life, for someone who saved every penny to get them you would have thought they would show a little respect, but don't. He breaks everything yet was unable to break the evo or scoob. So I can hands down rate their reliability, stock mind you not tuned. Toyota is a good choice though. -

Very lovely motor that! Did you stray away from the Jap scene inbetween this and the SX? If so, what made you come back? -
Uprated inlet manifold BARGAIN!!! £200 posted!!!

Just out of interest, where did you get this from. I noticed that there is a seller from China knocking these out at a very reasonable price. The fact yours comes with more stuff and cheaper is cool. I was just wondering if it was the China one, then how good is it. I buy lots of stuff from China, Ally washer bottles etc, and the quality appears to be superb. I know someone here was having issues with aftermarket inlets and constantly needed welding. Just out of curiosity is all. -
Haha, love those side skirt stickers. Do you miss it?
-
I got my service parts from that Jap auto for my brakes. Haven't had any issues, the kit was well supplied and looked great. I buy pistons from Toyota, but the rubber seals, well there really isn't much to em...
-
I like that TTE sticker, I thought it was a genuine OEM Rare dash clock, looks good.
-
Nothing wrong with that? It's just a bit of ally at the end of the day. I could understand if it was a hard wearing component. Doesn't seem bad at all really.

Put your name down for the Carbon Syncro Kits that Tegiwa are trying to get MFactory to put into production

Just an FYI, no this part was not RHD.

Any chance of you opening up a thread to gauge interest? Doesn't have to be anything serious just an idea of what's what. -
Group Buy : Livesports Style Carbon EP91/EP82 Wings

Just out of interest, was there any news on having FRP or carbon OEM moulds at any point in the future? I think as these cars get older, it's nice to keep that OEM look. I do want a new set of wings at some point, and some OEM FRP would be high on my radar. -
I totally agree with Whitenoize. You really don't want Facebook users on this forum. Anyone who is really into their cars use forums. Facebook is for transient people who will take, take, take and give nothing back. I run a forum myself, and it's not exactly busy, but the calibre of people on there is what counts, not the number. So long as this forum exists, they'll be members that will use it.

I dunno, seems a bit pickeyish to not run an air filter just for the noise. Especially when you say how bad the car has been looked after, then remove the filter. At least it's meshed, my car had no filter on it when I got it...cheers. It's scary what people think is acceptable to leave their car in!

Watch any AE86 video and you will always see them in the VTEC range lol! Obviously not a turbo car. Colin you saying these cars are prone to failure at the red line? Wow, I must say...that is kinda disappointing to hear. Maybe I ought to get a Honda lol

Not necessarily about efficiency. It's just that it can inevitably only dissipate so much heat due to it's cross sectional area. It's just a radiator at the end of the day. When you compress the air it gets hot, the bigger the intercooler, the bigger the surface area that the compressed air can move across in an attempt to give up its heat to the fins. The bigger the area of the intercooler, the bigger the area for the air coming across it to pass through. However this isn't necessarily efficiency. You could have a massive intercooler made out of cast iron

I know ennit lol
