  1. Second this! And web development is moving on, in fact, Nodejs is the new thing for server side coding. Currently php is the language used for server side scripting but this is migrating quickly over to node. The point I'm making is that actually even an experienced web developer has to start from nothing when this happens. I was using php but I can see the benefits of node and as such it's time to pick it up and start again. But that said there are many ways to start building websites, templating is not the way to do it. Starting from notepad and create a page from the ground. It's repetitive which makes it easy to pick up, and no need for sophisticated computer.
  2. Nice, been a busy girl then. Sucks it went pop but pretty sweet that you managed to get it all sorted. I'm looking at the GT20 Fast spool up kit for mine. TD04 is great, but it's nice to hear the chatter without hammering the car lmao. Makes me smile anyway.
  3. Accord type r is a good shout lol.
  4. Uhhh Hate spiders lol. I personally liked the other lights. Gave it a nice subtle look. I like these too. Was digging the work you done to those discs
  5. Make sure you coat the new stem seals in oil before fitting.
  6. Well my brother is a sparks and he's convinced it's ground related. I'm thinking possible a good earthing kit may sort out some issues. His and mine idle spot on. So I don't see what the difference is.
  7. Haha, bastard. He's trickling the details per edition. I haven't read this part yet.
  8. Yeah I know, but there is a reason why so many shit movies get released, cause they get their pants pulled down by pirating and don't make enough money to make decent ones It's like anything in life though I suppose. I wouldn't have a go at anyone for it, I don't like paying to watch porn lmao! I bet that ruins that industry too haha! I've ripped like 150 movies (some blu rays) on my machine at home, can stream them to some devices all around the house, PS3, Raspberry PI and even the smart tv. So I like buying DVDs to burn to my disk.
  9. Lol it was a joke Colin. Here in England we have a cinema chain called Cineworld. I don't like pirating films since it ruins the industry. I try to pay where I can. Also with regards to XBMC http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/89762-starlet-car-pc-project/ I've had this setup in my car. Plus with over 100 video games that run really well.
  10. Yeah, and there is that skill you take away that can earn a lot cash in hand, mates clutches and what not. So suppose it does have quite a few perks.
  11. Yeah suppose. My mate just works in a back street garage, hey he's doing better than me lol. Drives round in a nice Evo. But I've got respect for the trade, working on my car is bad enough.
  12. Only on the dt forum. Lol.
  13. It actually upsets me a little. My mate is a mechanic and he loves his Jap cars, but he doesn't treat them well, or keep them long, and isn't really into the whole thing. Cause he knows how stressful they make his life. Shame really. Mechanics deserve better pay IMO. But we 'customers' aren't prepared to pay. I don't do this as a job, but I can imagine how stressful every job must be. When I do something to my car all that's going through my mind is when is this goign to blow up in my face!!! So I've got respect for mechanics, not paid enough for their jobs IMO.
  14. I appreciate a little, but 400-600 rpm. Like literally about to stall terroritory.
  15. See I disagree with that mate. I know loads of people that thought, Oh I love cars, I'm going to be a mechanic. Can seriously take the passion out of it. Definitely do something you enjoy, but I'd say do something that you don't do at home...
  16. >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84vJ4vEWvAQ Even though they earn thirty k for sitting on their arse all day! Lmao that song.
  17. That's a good shout ^^^^
  18. Is there no where to go in optical lab? Surely there must be some form of qualifications you can earn to get promoted. Sounds like a good place to work if you ask me? What with private health care on the horizon....
  19. Or alternative is night school. Skip the apprenticeship and go back to school in the evenings or something similar. Study something technical and apply for jobs in that field. Obviously research a field that is in demand. I hear engineering is in demand atm.
  20. Sorry, didn't mean it to come off like that. I know lots of people who were on pennies an hour like you say. My brother did an electrical apprenticeship with a company called Clarkson Evans, and there you work on price, so provided you work hard, you get the money back. He could pull some serious money through hard grafting and long days. It's hard work, but you've got to start somewhere.
  21. Stock brakes on the EP are shocking. They fade like mad lmao!
  22. http://www.apprenticeships.gov.uk/ https://www.gov.uk/further-education-skills/apprenticeships https://apprenticeshipvacancymatchingservice.lsc.gov.uk/navms/forms/candidate/apprenticeships.aspx http://apprenticeships.qa.com/ Unfortunaltely it's the boring stuff that earns mullah. Stuff that people have no interest in. IT. If you get an apprenticeship in IT then you really can earn a mint. But I understand for most IT is just the computer they use to browse the forums lol/ Mate I was on £17500 per annum on my apprenticeship. And they paid for my Degree lmao. If you do a speciliast apprenticeship then it's not as bad as you think
  23. To be honest when I done my apprenticeship I had people on my course in their thirties mate. So you're really never to old. Depends what you're good at and if there is money to be made...
  24. Yeah I used a socket with a magnet inside that caught the keepers. Did lose a few so it's handy to buy some spares.
  25. Hmm, yeah he's an electrician so he'll have a gauge. Mine does do it to an extent. I was thinking maybe a bad earth or what not. Cheer though.
