  1. Haha! Yes Ollie that's brilliant mate! Will this be making an appearance Sunday? Let me know who you decide to go with for powdercoating. Looking sick though
  2. I looked into lightening flywheels a while back, and the professionals I spoke to was DON'T do it. Makes sense why you wouldn't want to do it on your every day car. Fair enough for your track slag where you don't care about a rebuild, but for something you want to keep reliable, there is a reason why it's weighted....
  3. Yes mate, nice site. What are you using to host it? I've been hosting my website on my Raspberry Pi It looks good, I wonder if you could use a sub domain of ukstarletowners since that's free. My domain, www.dt125r.co.uk, allows me to put allocate www with something else for free. So the site I will be hosting on my pi is currently beta.dt125r.co.uk Maybe it would be possible to have carreg.ukstarletowners.com.Or whatever. EP-Reg is good too, just saves you paying for a domain.
  4. I swear that Red car in Mighty car mods video to New Zealand had Evo bodykit
  5. Feels good to finally have a Starlet that actually runs, alright it leaks a bit of coolant but at least it works :D

Saving for the WEPR GT20 Fast spool kit :D

  6. Brilliant. Tsukuba is great track, well jealous Out of interest how close is the playstation to real life, in terms of the track. Did you find it helped playing the playstation before hand ? Very sweet Mk1 you got there. Amazing that you beat those other cars, there are some heavy contenders there!
  7. Surely if they fit an EP80 then they will fit the GT?
  8. Aww sweet! Someone from the Japland Awesome cars your country makes, you should be proud haha!
  9. I had no choise but used a metal wedge! Like a cheese wedge, I just slid the wedge all sides of the pulley and gentley hammered it through. As for that bolt, can be a RIGHT bastard! I locked to nuts at the top together. So when you undo the bottom one it moved the bolt. I then put a 10 mill spanner on the bottom to help. So effectively twisting it from two locations, seems to work. I had to make my own studs in the end cause I cut a few off to get to them! SUCKS!
  10. Yeah I know that, but linux servers are not indefinitely stable, they're just more stable.
  11. So this problem seems to have worsened. The car is just smoking as you drive now. We've just done the valve stem seals the other week, used Zisco 'uprated' ones. The old valve stem seals were completely ruined. I have a feeling maybe the valves have been damaged as it wasn't smoking too bad after it was done, but now it's worsened. I said to him don't feel too bad, even mine smokes a lot. Doesn't bother me as long it runs.
  12. Sublime is great, but you have to pay. For the money I'd use Webstorm as it's a fantastic utility. But for free Google have released Atom, it's really promising! HTML is what is. It's the way to do it. If you're going into coding then you need to ditch the Windows platform and go for the Linux distributions, Windows just shits itself when it comes to web servers, topples over every five minutes. Most webservers are ran on a Linux machine as they are reliable as the earth is round
  13. Driveway missions? The money you save go forged? Jokes, although there is a good thread on here about how to do it. The only factor is doing it. I always wonder if someone else will put as much effort into something as me.
  14. I literally refused to pay those silly prices they wanted for a piece of paper. I decided I couldn't be bothered with a car so just rode a bike for years instead. I'm lucky, 21, no years no claims (never driven since I passed when I was 17) and only payed £800 for my GT. Didn't think that was too bad. Was annoyed that my brother pays £220 for the same car though!
  15. Lol Colin, I hear it's pretty common practice really. It's just not economical to take the head off all the time. Especially when you're busy. Worse case scenario, you drop the valve and you have to take the head off, which you needed to do anyway.
  16. Looking very sweet What did you do with the injector loom in the end? I thought the plastic was there to prevent the wires from melting from the heat.
  17. Phenomenal! Got to be one best builds on this site. As already said by many, love the attention to detail here with this build, almost everything about it is inspiring! Love that two tone strut bar as well Very well done sir!
  18. Nice build, just out of interested where did you buy the 'replica' EWG from?
  19. Aww that sucks about the Turbo mate, especially as the first one was last during transit. The fact that full boost isn't made till 4 grand isn't that bad. Means you can pot around like a 1.3 without boosting all the time. The difference between mine and my brothers Starlet is night and day. Mines all spool no go, his is all lag and lots of boost. I say all lag, It isn't 4K but then it's only 0.65 bar. Also it's BOUGHT not brought. You bought the touch up pen...
  20. I'm sorry the hear this. Really really shouldn't be this way! The head gasket on these cars are absolute minimal amount of work. A skim cost me £50, all the parts aren't that much, ID workz are very reasonable and you can knock the head gasket, cam belt and water pump in a few hours, less if you know what you're doing, I'd expect a garage to know what they're doing. Definitely wouldn't take it back there again!
  21. Wow, just wow. How did you manage that lol!
  22. Absolute joke mate. Agreed name and ban imo. It's one thing to sell counterfit parts unknowingly, it's a completely different thing to sell it a brag about it. To be fair mate, my brother is running a cheap eGay one and it holds boost fine. And my mate had one on his D16 Turbo, and it was an eBay special turbo, ran sweet as a nut.
  23. I really don't like brands hatch either, it reminds me of UK roads, tight narrow and damn right dangerous. That first slight right after the straight ruins me. It tightens and drops and I can never seem to corner it properly. I will state, I've never actually been round there, but on GT6 I absolutely suck at that track.
