  1. Truly a top notch build, you should be proud! Does your Sexy as oil catch tank have a breather port on it? I only ask as I’m trying to figure out what I need for mine and have seen a few of the rw tanks fitted.
  2. Moving swiftly with this, cracking progress! This will be a thread I’ll keeping checking on 👍🏻
  3. Lovely turbo kit, slightly jealous yours has the wepr logo on the downpipe. Tidy welds on the wastegate too, cracking job!
  4. Haha, thanks skiny, I think, hope it holds for now! Has been a pretty productive day being that only one job was booked in at work. Radiator and piping fitted then wastegate piped up using the guide on gfb’s website for my g force II. Also got rid of a wiring eyesore, must have been a very early halogen diy kit! Engine oil, gear oil, steering fluid, clutch bleed and just water for coolant followed. Then the moment of truth. Turned over by hand a fair few times, cranked over without spark, and after 4 months she lives once more!!! Nerve racking
  5. So this is the making of hopefully a reasonable bodge. I cut an old hot pipe short and had the friend of a friend ali weld around the cut to give a protrusion to hold the clamp on. Everything after the out of place ‘blue’ joiner is from original setup. Fairly confident it will hold but feeling I may get in touch with wepr once they are up and running again to order their pipe work for the new turbo position. Really feeling I should have done this when ordering the manifold but hey, that’s hindsight for you!
  6. Welcome, Cleaning and rust treatment is still worthy of a build thread! Get one started, many here will appreciate seeing the efforts
  7. External wastegate is a Tial MVS 38mm. It has the option of water cooled but I’m not going to use it yet. May well do once I know everything is running right. I got it from tuning developments.
  8. Slow progress but I’m tired of looking at photos on the phone and not getting replies 😉. Wiring for engine is all plugged up for now, once running I would like to tidy it up a bit. Much needed new air filter (ramair) arrived and hot side Intercooler piping is coming along. Got a friend of a friend hopefully making good of a slight bodge. Just mocked up for now but soon will be final 🤞🏻. Rad and piping to come next, of course red piping to match the rest
  9. All interesting stuff sam but let us see the progress on your car! I’ve been watching with anticipation 👍🏻
  10. Cracking start to your build! The meisters came out like new from the looks of it, top job. What LSD do you have in the box?
  11. Black and red always go together. However being they are mild body changes I would stick with the clean red throughout. Tough decision though!
  12. Awesome pictures with the blossom! Cracking example by the looks of it 👍🏻
  13. Welcome! Nice to see the itch got to you and another starlet will be cared for. Bodywork looks good from the pictures, hope the underneath is as good for you 👍🏻
  14. A nice list of parts there, Would love to see a few photos of it 👍🏻
  15. I forgot about following this build but glad to see it still progressing, good work moosh. It really is becoming a great example!
  16. Thanks to you wepr it does look awesome!! A lot of fiddling ahead to get it performing but all exciting stuff. Glanzadude, save the pennies. Took me some time to afford it but it’s a great feeling to have some of the best bolted on. Engine and gearbox are now in for me, a lot of basics ahead along side getting new inter cooler routing sorted. Progress will continue.
  17. Fairly small update but turbo kit is now fully together. After a few years of drooling over others wepr kits I’m chuffed to bits to see one on my engine! Now to find some time to get the engine back in the car.
  18. Two votes of confidence, I’m happy!
  19. Small update, progress has slowed due to home and work being manic. I know many do but I wasn’t feeling confident about having welds inside my turbo, neat welding isn’t a strong point of mine! Put something together to hold the wastegate shut without having to do so. Looks crude but feels solid. Now just need to sort turbo cooling pipes, down pipe and wastegate fully. Then engine can sit back in the car 🤗
  20. Cheers Glanza dude. Get yours updated, been nearly a year! Would be cool to see some pictures too as the originals aren’t showing anymore 👍🏻
  21. Thanks for the input guys. Will try using the actuator arm as a rod to hold it shut.
  22. Located in Poole myself. My GT isn’t currently running but hoping all will good in a couple months time. Where are you based? Had your Glanza long?
  23. Appreciate the input Sam. Am a little concerned that if I do that then the port could open slightly under top boost. I haven’t read anyone else doing the same.
  24. Thanks mate, let’s hope it stays that way when running!
