It's very clean and original I plan to just sort a couple bits on it and keep it Pretty standard to use for work. For now it will stay auto but I may put a 6 speed in it in the future. I do have quite alot of starlet parts left over but not sure if I will fit them. I will spend a bit of time on it at the weekend and get some better pics and start sorting any niggles out.
-
Thanks guys. Yeah it's a pretty rare colour which made it jump out to me a bit. I lurk about in the background from time to time phil but the forums and the starlets them selfs aren't what they used to be too us old hands! Too many shitters, dodgy dealings and ripping people off these days.

I picked this up a nice grey mk2 GT this week. I wasn't really after another starlet but it caught my eye and im really chuffed with it. its an auto, completely stock apart from an air filter, lowered and the wheels. Its a nice clean genuine car and the auto box is actually pretty good its a nice drive. The plan is to just sort a few things out like the parcel shelf has a bit snapped off so it jumps about. The suspension seems mega stiff so I might get some softer springs or shocks once I get a look at them. replace the missing exhaust heat shield apart from that its pretty muc

Beans kp60 3 door running a 5k on bike carbs
Bean replied to Bean's topic in KP40 & KP60 Progress Blogs
hahaha, you can buy one from flo https://www.facebook.com/FLOS.IE?fref=ts he might have them in stock atm. If not i know another guy in Ireland who can make them. yeah i need to get back on to it. too many projects and cars! A lot of work will finally be finished next week in my the house and I will have more time after then. I'm hoping to get the car sprayed in the new year and back out of the road for when the weather starts getting better. -
I think the T50's are quite alot stronger than than the K series boxes. The ford ones are stronger though and a good alternative. you can get cable T50's aswel but there even harder to find. otherwise its a case of converting them to cable or fitting a hydraulic clutch setup. Flo makes a kit to convert a T50 to cable. yeah ive had mine a few years now. ive not done alot with it tbh. I just need to get it sprayed then put the engine back in. Ive got alot of cool bits ive picked up for over time. Heres my thread http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/58533-beans-kp60-3-door-running-a-5

The k50 box wont take 4age abuse for long im afraid mate. i don't have a T50 box im afraid. i wouldnt mind getting hold of one my self and an ae86 rear axle but there all in Ireland. You can get a belhousing to fit the 4age to a ford box though, like a type 9. should be able to find one of those easier.

great work, should be good fun with the 4age! have you got a t50 box for it?

RobMacs Forged/Sleeved B18 'Going Turbo' Glanza V
Bean replied to Glanza Mac's topic in EP91 Glanza Progress Blogs
That fuelling is a good bit off. Ive got a stock b18c4 with just a edelbrock victor x inlet, and a full 2.5" exhaust system i made. heres the graph. The car still had the stock lsi exhaust system here and ran quite rich. ive not had it back on the dyno since the exhaust system and leaned the map out a little. Imho this dyno reads about 7-8% higher than others ive used. also are you in need of a p28? i have a spare one i socketed. i used to quickly swap a few maps over on the dyno. Good going on the swap!!- 983 replies

I hope its going to a good home Dave! -
always loved these! what can be done about the gearbox problem with them though? i know quaife make a gearset for them but does that fix the problem?
-
i completely agree. the only way to do it right is to swap a full non pas rack and steering column. then it might not be so bad.
-
The st205 box should fit that adapter plate too. It would be alot of work though.

It also looked like the chassis leg was damaged but that could have been from a lift in the past. If it was the case of just putting a new wish bone on it I would have had the car my self. Imho the car is a breaker and I wouldn't put it on the road.
-
I had it up on a lift and im sure it had pushed the wishbone back and bent the chassis. The car had a fair impact low down so much so that it smashed the towing eye off.
-
its got some viper alarm on it i think with a little screen on the fob. the car cant be towed due to the crash damage.
