In MR2 case this is always dead alternator, never had heard that Starlet have also that hot laying eight warning light.
-
Knock knock, pistons are dead from intake valve side, few times have driven with oily windscreen, when I was young kid :/
-
I can say it, not anyway. Very stupid idea and don't have any benefits unless going to some ugliest tuning attemps competition. I'm just honest, don't waste Your time, just trying save Your time and face, please with all respect :/

Found old Union gas station while driving some small roads, nothing big haven't happened to this car, just wanted to take poor picture Today had phonecall from www.mamasan.fi shop, I ordered in april PowerFlex rear bushings for my modded EP91 axle, now they asked do I still want those, very fast service, problem was PowerFlex factory they said, should I belive...

Installed SV21 1987 Camry cluster dimmer, few minutes job, 1996 basic model had jumper wire plug behind panel...

This VSV is easier to try clean with some solvent, brake cleaner etc, try that before anything. Or take it away and block hole, no more high idle
-
Do You have VSV in the end of intake chamber (turbo) or in the throhtle body (n/a)? You should be able adjust tb linkage also if cable adjust won't help...
-
Fucking phone do weird things, but meant to say that asics maybe works, so rare that don't have to try it Just turbo all, only way get real power, this n/a shit is waste of time...

Maybe as but skip Corolla intake and

Few intakes, from left EE110, EP91 and EP82 GT My arse says no for this swap, save your time and money, I have been cheated by n/a lads :/
-
Changed Corolla intake manifold, waste of time, same as Apex airfilter. Idiot job to hunt few ponys, thank god parts were free spare parts laying around. Don't try these, turbo is only way for fatty EP91....
-
Easiest way is use Camry 3.0 V6 2VZ-FE gearbox, same box basically like MR2 turbo, gearselector/lingage is right side for Starlet, don't go hardest way...
-
Drums are better, only minus is that no good shoes available and on extreme pushing maybe heat can be problem. Even EP71 turbo modell use drum brakes
-
I'm gona open bias valve (spring away) and add adjustable valve for rear line. Easy job in non abs EP70 car when swapping rear disk setup.
-
Do You have ABS brakes, then it's not so big "problem"?
-
Nice track pictures, looking so nice

Yesterday welded better exhaust connection, because exhaust was leaking behind catalyzator and before rear muffler. New Apex airfilter and blocked all vacuum fume hoses from intakepipe. Tooked red part tinting film away, so rear don't look too dark maybe, have to buy lighter film later, better now I think, not so police magnet...

Very good guide written Stu, thanks
-
Thanks. Project hasn't go forward now, because I bought EP91 Starlet and EL54 Paseo. Time has gone now working with those and at work again :/ But now I have car for driving and one 5E spare car, so can continue building EP70. Next project is welding rear area stonger and mot inspection so can drive next year november without stress. Have to restorate floor before winter and then have time to build engine and chassis.

http://m.motonet.fi/fi/varaosat/581/autot/toyota/starlet-1996-1999?vuosimalli=1996&tuoteryhma=155 Use old streching ones, that is real budget building Or maybe new aftermarket studkit, 10studs only 15,90 euros in Finland. Should be ok on low budget/boost n/a turbo? Or are You hunting ARB style hard studs?
-
That is thin, must be one layer Very cheap also, we want pictures when it is in Your hand...
-
Sound from engine, crankshaft side movement bearing clearance ok?
-
Thanks, this link proofs it. ET196 Caldina also on list, with E-series engine, what a wheapon... So most likely TRD headgasket is same as 5E-FHE

I have "pink" gen2 156hp 3S-GE MR2 spare engine, those were bolt on topfeed injectors.
