Blue smoke, now nothing? Edit: an update
Driver replied to A L 3 X's topic in 4E-FTE Engine Discussions
After a spirited drive your oil is going to be at its thinest and may be leaking past oil seals. Not enough to notice on the dipstick betweek services but enought to burn a tad in the exhaust. (or thats as i understood it) Nothing to worry about. -
I missread the title at 1st to read DS3 Im so happy i was wrong !

I love how this is looking. Getting closer by the day !! Looks miles better without mesh but like you said its alot safer with. Might be worth seeinf if theres a fines wired mesh or getting silver mesh and seeing if it looks any better ?

People slate them all the time but i had a stock NA6 and it was an awesome drivers car, so much feedback it almost feels as though its a car suit and you can do whatever you want. Then threw some sticky tyres on some track wheels and was untouchable theough the bends on a track day (then over taken by everyone on the straight haha) -
Dont worry, i got this. (Yes thats a Capri in front of me, not going sideways, showing RWD boys how its done)

Lies .... Your keeping the Rotas and the boxes are full of doughnuts arent they.

Signed.

Ha the minute the bowl issue was mentioned i knew what was coming ... awesome.

I had this problem. turned out to be a broken wire on the sender itself. Soldered together and heat wrapped and problem solved.

I got one of these bought for me for my birthday so me and a mate went up. Was suprisingly good. Ended up in a 3 car drift train that everyone was creaming after too ha.

Dude, your fuel consumption is shit. Do you drive around on boost all the time ? Mine used to get 240-270 to a tank every tank without fail and 300+ on a few occasions when cruising up and down motorways or a/b roads without abbusing her.
-
Depends of pence per litre. Most 4etfe powered stratlets get between 30-35mpg though. A few do hit 40+ on a run. But when your using the car as it was intended it does ofcourse drop significantly.

So your 1.4 mango saxo can keep up with what im assuming is a stock ST but an potentially modded EP3 cant push a modded ST ...... I love your logic.
-
Sounds like a boost leak more then anything else. Pressurise your boost hoses and listen when engines turned off (can do it with a compressor and abit of inginuity(SP)) Other then that, replace actuator and try again, there only £5/10 second hand or throw a HKS on if your staying CT9

Posting to find mine although im fairly new compared to most. EDIT : 1559 .... lower then i thought !

This quote annoys me as its said so much. Compared to turbo, yes but in N/A terms they arent lacking at all. Comparison .... c20xe - 144ft/lb gt86 boxer engine - 150ft/lb Clio 197 - 159 ft/lb Focus ST170 - 144 ft/lb ep3 type r - 159 ft/lb ..... torqueless for a 2.0 hot hatch ....... i think not. Also if you look at the civics torque curve it makes torque alot smoother and earlier in the usable rev range. EP3s are really under rated as performance hatches due to them being so plentiful, cheap and owned by chavs. With the right driver they will beat 99.9% of current "hot hatches"
-
Your sister probs can't drive for shit, mainly due to her lack of a penis. Ep3s can be really quick, they can surprise alot of "hot" hatches. I have a friend with an EP3, a manifold, exhaust, RBC inlet, decent filter and a map on KPro that pulled over 260. The K20 is quite tunable, even in N/A form.

Im off later in the year (September) San antonia Hotel Fiesta Milord im staying in if my memory serves me correct

Spectating, was with a mate and currently decent carless.

Saw you out on track dude

I forgot about this ! actually crying ewith laughter here !!!

On clocks just over 160 on my old one. I very much doubt this was the actual speed but i was creeping past a friend who was on the limiter in her Z4. so much of been 155 if not close to it. That was a td04 setup at 1.5bar Due to the light weight of the starlet its pretty easy to get up to 120/30 however after that the aerodynamics of the average city bus get in the way alot ! And getting mine up to that took some effort. To be honest most tracks youll struggle to see over 130 anyway so may be worth throwing a shorter N/A box on like i did. Loads more acceleration but loose 10mphish top end (N

RIP to the taxi driver and passanger. The driver of the 'Rarri on the other hand, cunt, deserves his ending. Natural selection at work, just wish it was a cliff/tree/post he hit !!

As with John most cases dont need uprated pump and injectors but people add them just in case. I did as john and ran on stock injectors and pump but ran 1.4/5 bar. It went like this for about 18 month too. Sell the Jam though and get an EMB/EMU, i wouldnt trust a Jam to take me as far as i could throw it.
