Lol i also have ran vf24 infact thats the set up im reusing for my current car it spooled very quick but they are not cheap to buy unfortunatley. But will flow bigger power than td04 at quicker spool.

Well ill watch toffs build and maybe ill be proved wrong but given that a hybrid can do 200hp on very quick spool and some have had nearer 240 from hybrids ill be keen to see how th tf can better that without just falling into td04 teritory tbh.

Toby swapped the gt for the kp owned by their engine builder (the kp pictured with the gt) what happened to either after i dont know. And i belive the rota clubstar is the smae design as the wheels on the gt i maybe wrong though.

Speak to any turbo builder for balenced hybrids, blades need trimming slightly and compressor needs a lil work for ct20 compressor blades to fit. Loads of other ways to get a ct9 hybrid, i looked at a t25 ct9 hybrid option at one stage. The td04 is fairly small for a turbo anyway and realy not that laggy. The tf035 just doesnt make sense imo. Why not just boost your ct9 to 1bar? Have you been in a td04 car? And how is it a bigger bang than a hybrid if its smaller than a td04? Theres tons of options for hybridising ct9's. You asked for opinions im giving mine mate. I think its a silly setup given the proven record of hybrids and td04's and the fact I've run both means i think i have a fair opinion on them both. Pop over to the aus starlet club and have a read, is tons of tf set ups and i just dont see a gain over the hybrid option realy.

Makes me lol no one realy looks at hybrids any more, can get same power as a td04@1bar with less lag and pulls all the way to redline. td04 isnt laggy but if you want quick spool but more torque go hybrid ct9 i ran a ct9/ct20 hybrid and a tongs gt spec both awesome both pulled like trains both at .8bar would eat my bosses sti wrx scooby. love how no one looks at hybrids anymore, such a shame. tf are of the forester i belive and imo probably wank!! Paul yours is an earlier td04 style, im not sure if it had a "name" as such back then, but is a brilliant design my mate made over 300 on one of those manis and ran it for years and years, had good flow results too.

Well, as some of you know i had been getting diss hartened with the build. happens to alot of us when you spend over a year looking at your car making no progress and knowing what cash you have sunk in and your getting nothing out. i picked up a bit over the last week as i got a few bits done. But i tell ya what is nothing better to pick ya up than driving a starlet and deebo's lil ep80 was just the ticket!! So had a bit more enthusiasm just needed to resolve a few issues...............enter the swiss army grant!!! Hes a legend he turned up and we wipped the bumper back off and he got straight to it! Made me some fmic lower brackets and welded em to the car then cracked on with my inlet, hacked the flange off and welded the new one for my billet tb on while he was welding I've cleaned up my oem recaro passenger seat from the v a bolted it to my ep85 low position rail. Also got all the cold side fmic pipes bolted on so we can start on the front exit exhuast. realy not far away guys!!! 4fookinWD turbo crazy madness to come soon!!!! Whoop whoop. Grant grineding the brackets for the fmic inlet flange removed new flange welded on and billet tb sat in place.

I have to agree, i think if you go the whole hog its over engineering a solution to a small problem. i think start with cv' james and see if/what becomes the next week leank then deal with that if/when its been discovered.

Yes bro!! Real starlet member now drives sweet as a nut for a 190,000 mile old car and is sooooo clean. Has been owened by loads of people from the same family so isnt abused. Got alot of ideas for this lil beast. Will take some new pics tommorow of it parked next to its bigger 4wd brother.
