mattymaxx Yeh, this one is being inspected. and my spares are being built back up into my OEM LSD casing That's the plan anyway!
-
I fully expected it... It wasn't new, non of them are... If I was in 1st and 2nd. Its hard to get 3rd, 4th and 5th. If I use 3rd, 4th and 5th. Its hard to get 1st and 2nd. It wont go into reverse and in 3rd and 5th the gearstick moves about 2 inches on and off power, bit like an engine mount is loose... It jumps out of 3rd... I think that's pretty much summed it up! It didn't completely fail, but I thought I best take it out before I break down and have to get towed home!

You've got it chaps! ^ Well... This happened last night: Because of this: The box wasn't perfect in the first place, but I think 430bhp finished it off! I already have a spare box being rebuilt. So shouldn't be off the road long I hope... Taking this chance to get my front wings and front bumper painted in MY shade of 040 White. All good fun ehy!

They help stock heat soak... Makes NO difference when your going tho... So if your sat in traffic.... Stood Still, with no airflow... They will help marginally...

The charcoal canister can be removed and the pipe to the fuel tank can be left to atmosphere... No point changing the tank Ryan, just change the pump inside OR buy a 255lph pump.... Just cut and solder the connector for the fuel pump assembly. All the colours match and are the same... Easy Peasy! Also, the Wiring Loom on a Facelift Starlet go thru into the engine bay behind the engine AND in the passenger footwell. On a Facelift starlet they go through ONLY in passenger footwell... Hope this helps!

Shhh you. I know where you live. At the moment.....

If the car has overheated and you've continued to use it while it was way too hot then that can do the headgasket... Make sure you've re-bled the coolant system.. But if the problem persists get a leakdown/sniff test done to determine the health of the headgasket!

Looking Good There Josh! You need to hoover tho... -
hehe Well, didn't see this coming to be honest... The Crank Seal has been replaced twice now, and it still has a very slight weep. So Ricky did some investigation work end of this week and found that it was ON BOOST driving that caused it to weep. Suggesting that the higher boost pressure, (2.2bar) is giving us much more crank case pressure, forcing oil past the seal... So the rocker cover came off.... The Internal Baffle was removed, then we could see just how blocked and gunged up it was! Yep, that's disgusting. Its an area you CAN NOT get too to clean out unless you drill the baffle out. So while it was off, I got them to add a 3rd Breather to the cover with a new custom baffle. So Now... 3 Breather Fittings and Lines to my Catch Tank now... The car was then strapped down on the dyno to be checked out... The oil wasn't leaking and when it was warmed up, Ricky did 2-3 pulls... Resulting In: 431.1bhp / 327.6lb-ft @ 2.2bar! Jeez! So my advice is, get that baffled removed, cleaned and a custom one put back in there. Always make sure your breather system is big enough to cater for the boost pressure your running! The theory I believe is pressure in the case, acts on the bottom of the pistons. So you have positive boost on top, in my case 2.2bar but had pressure on the bottom fighting against it. As a result the cars picked up an additional 5bhp and 13lb-ft! Minimal I know, but just by engineering a breather system, is pretty good going! In Other News. Took a ride out to the seafront (Cleethorpes) last night, the car was a hoot. Had a fun time, met someone in a silver V I spoke too briefly. However the car was just putting smiles on my face all night. Didn't realise how much I missed it! Onward and upward! Detailing session first chance I get!

About time this stunner got an fte! Good lad! Done ALOT of these conversions myself... Your best off stripped the seats and carpet out and putting an entire glanza loom in Ryan! You'll need to solder up the fuel pump connector and the Glanza tank is different tho! Bar that, easy peasy!
-
If you look at the brochures... They did the Pedal Set as an option and the matching footrest as a separate extra... I have them both...
-
What did yours test at mattyd?
-
If its an Import.... No Coding Needed If its a UK car... Coding will be needed!
-
If u get a meter on voltage... earth the earth probe. and put the positive probe on the RPM signal wire... You should see the voltage sweep/change as you rev the car? Best bet is to get some mk2/3 clocks butcher them and YOINK the tacho element and hope and pray its the same!

Are you planning on running it in NA trim at all? Iron out the kinks, get it perfect. Then boost it.... Or just get it home, boost it map it... Go for it? Looking good tho Rob, looks like its going to be a weapon of a Honda! I mean Starlet... -
Sounds good bud, its hard to get across sensation of a car in a video! Ontop of that, heightened by the majority of gopro's have terrible mic's so they sound dulled, muffled. Im sure its a weapon tho bud!
