  1. the relocation kit i got from mike, but without the filter he supplies. you will have to pm him for a price on that as i think the price i got may have been at mates rates if you get my drift! i have a stainless bend spare that when combined with a stock tmic silicone bend makes a perfect relocation kit. may put it up in the for sale section. the apexi was £65 and that included the adapter kit which is usually around £15. its more than i wanted to pay for a filter but i feel it was worth it.
  2. sorry for the crap pics my brother still has my fecking camara! mike its a plan that we could well consider, i really have no idea if its gonna work as with such a big compressor the boost could be hard to control, could possibly need to be externaly gated. but i may just try it and see what happens!
  3. no problem mate any time. what you gonna do about fuel managment? as u will see the real benifits of that hybrid with a little extra boost and a more agressive map
  4. thanks lads, put the filter on today and the diference is unbeleivable. the old filter must have been really strangling my turbo, tbh it was 5 years old, manky as fuck and a cheapo one!, i honestly cant beleive the difference from only a better filter. will see if there is any extra bhp on the 14th when its back on the rollers. if not any power definatly a drop in spool up time. yeah mike is a good lad and only lives 15 minutes from me so it makes doing buisness much easier. and yeah they are usually black, but the seller i got it off had two limited edition chrome ones so i thought for an ex
  5. good stuff, i have the same seat.........the office chair that is, not the bride. told you the splitter will hide most of the cutting for the fmic, i would spray the new splitter though. keep up the good work
  6. decided to tidy up my intake side of things, so swaped my home made filter relocation for a monster motorsport one. thanks to mike @ monster motorsport, always a pleasure doing buisness with him. and also got rid of my old filter for a much nicer one apexi chrome edition. will get pictures when its fitted tommorow. kinda slow at the minute on mods, trying to save for a house so limiting my spending whilst trying to get the project finished. really happy with the car at the minute though. new hybrid has finished the planning stage, i know exactly what parts i will be using, its pretty ext
  7. what time will stuff be, meeting for convoy? meeting at street racers?
  8. good luck with the test mate, hopefully we get a good turn out
  9. a hybrid ct9 is modified to increase the turbos performance. ie, bigger and better designed compressor wheel, bored out intake size, bigger or cut back shaft. sometimes a 360 thrust bearing for longer turbo life. bigger wastegate to help with boost creep issues. thats it in general, called a hybrid as its made up of parts from more than one turbo.
  10. i use wd40 to clean everything! thats what i do any way and its good at removing grime.
  11. just use some wd40 mate. will clean every thing well and you wont have to worry about getting water in anywhere it shouldnt be. can just spray it every where no worrys
  12. where did that turbo come from? if thats come from a rebuilders that is a terrible job, was it requested to be ran with an external wastegate?
  13. you will mate its really quite simple when it all clicks and you know what each tool does. www.digimods.co.uk use the tutorials on there mate to get started, follow step by step and you will soon pick it up
  14. i think it looks good too, should do it mate. thanks idrees, was only a quick 2 min job so its a little rough but it give the idea
  15. there you go mate, its an estimated 40 mm obviously!!!
  16. im pretty certain the compressor wheel is from a KKK Ko4 range. i had a look at some comp wheels today and it certainly looks like thats what it is. its quite a good sized comp wheel mate. i would say its of similar size to the garret types used in most hybrids. have you had any dyno runs with the turbo?
  17. can clearly see where the comp cover has been machiened out, also that shaft nut does not look like its from the ct range leading me to believe that there is a none standard shaft in there too, a different shaft in there is a bonus as most just used stock shaft but cut back, but hard to tell from the pic.. the comp wheel is difficult to make out, does not look familiar to me at the minute. definatly looks like an old design of some sort, and not like the new garret comp wheels used in most hybrids.
  18. is this still with no exchange unit needed? if so thats an awsome price yet again, get names down folks
  19. turbo reconditioner/engineer/builder...........what ever the job title is!

    Gt spec hybrid ct9

put it on mate. you will feel the differnce at that boost and it will also solve your creep due to the bigger wastegate. just make sure you prime it and you will be laughing. that bloody efi pipe will be your biggest pain if you still have it. other than that its pretty easy going if you have the right tools.
  21. no i mentioned one using a certain ct12 comp cover with a bigger inlet used with ct9 hot end. is compression surge not a problem with full boost so early and a bigger volume of air being compressed than a stock ct9? been doing a bit of reseach and learnt a few things but need to know how it relates on a 4efte. with no compressor maps for the ct9 it makes things kinda difficult sorry to hijack thread mate
  22. is it simalar to the ct12 hybrid i mentioned i was designing enzo? if so pm me as we can discuss ideas mate
