if you think of a price i could be intrested

if i where you id leave it running awhile to make sure if any waters still in there it gets burnt off. any water residue left in there my thought would be theres a decent risk it will rust the bores if left

Slightly more than 30quid ha! ive ran them on a few cars and never had any bother but I'll certainly upgrade shortly
-
the plan is to get a better tyre once these wear down as the car should be making alot more power by then but i dont see that being the issue here

Need info on how to put a glanza's rear axle on a NA???
_shaun_ replied to Ryan Thrupp's topic in Chassis & Suspension
to be honest its not really worth it the glanza rear calipers are pretty shit and known for sticking if left for any sorta time. -
they do a ep95 which has 4wheel drive but its not turbo. a few people have done a awd converstion but most have opted to cut out the entire floor pan and weld it to a starlet top half the one that springs to mind the guy used a volve floor pan from memory.

195/50/15s so slightly streched onto the rims. its hard to explain really its not agreessive like torque steer its like it just gently wonders right but at those speeds that gentle wonder puts you into oncoming traffic quite quickly. with the steering feeling so light its hard to get a feel for fighting it to stay straight.

see am sure its the geometry. Prior to renewing all the running gear side of things I've had it bashing the limiter in 5th which was showing 170mph on the clock. It felt fucking dodgey but in a different way it was more just thought of knowing how fast your going in a tiny car than it wondering over the road. Cheers hopefully few people will give there input and fan find a happy medium. Am sure I have a pile of print outs from proper set ups on some past cars I've had I'll try dig them out and compare aswell

Ha dunno what it is with the Scottish meets everyone's always interested and game for them and then they never happen. Need to try change it this year and try sort something out

Welcome along there's quite alot from Scotland but we seem to be an anti social bunch and never actually meet. Theres a small group of us heading up to Crail race way next weekend tho. It's mainly a small bunch of us from around the Central belt that try get together when we can to try get some work done on the cars and insult each other. So if your on the road and in Glasgow area give us a shout

just looking to see what people are running suspetion set up wise. theres nowhere near me that does custom set ups local garages just do it to oem standards unless i give them the figures. under accleatarion my car sits its little ass down nicely and lauches but soon as i hit 110/120mph it just wants to wander all over the road with extremely light steering feel. had new rarb. fully polly bushes, ball joints track rod ends blah blah all redo. trd clutch type diff, anti-lift kit, coil overs and 8j wheels on yokohama pradas. its only pushing 300bhp so id be suprised if it was struggling to put t

Swapping out the stock PAS pump for something neater.
_shaun_ replied to Phil's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
yea from the rack theres an oem hard line that bolts onto it and then attached to a oem rubber hose. i just uncliped the oem rubber hose and jubileed a new fuel/oil hose onto that and ran it along side the high pressure line onto the saxo pump. handy enough the saxo high pressure and low pressure are the same threads/ sizes as the starlets. where mines mounted the hole below the abs servo is directly above that so the expantion tank just runs straight onto the pump aswell. -
yea to be honest i forgot to reconnect my electric pas pump after i rewired my fuse box and it was a cunt to drive around in. its back on now and makes the car so much more enjoyable. i seen the things your talking about i was looking for one for mine before i ditched the pas but they didnt do one big enough for my turbo. from memory they where only state side. id your adamant on keeping the mechanical pas id say just grab a seive and go for that.

not really mate i picked it up at a hardware store was just a meter long bit of i think m10. hack sawed it into 2 bits and then put the pump flat on the ground with the bar behind it grabed both ends with my foot ontop of the pump to hold it and bent it round by hand. then done the same for the 2nd one then marked where i needed the holes in the flat bar and drilled them out. lined it up with the chassis leg drilled that. gave it some paint to keep any rust at bay and few washers and nylon locker bolts and some rubber pipe so it wasnt mental on metal and it was rock solid. i done the whole in

I just got 2 long threaded bars and 2 bits of flat steel. Bent the bars round the pump and put some rubber hose over it to give it some padding then drilled 2 holes in the steel bar and tightened them on the other side just like a u bolt really poped 4 holes on the chassis leg and bolted it to that it's absolutely solid

U can see mine mounted in the last pic Phil put up it's just below the wing mounted to the chassis leg -
205/40/17 on 17/7 is it good on un-lowered or standard starlet?
_shaun_ replied to fat4tune's topic in Alignment & Alloys
dan we are talking wheel size not average dress size of your weekend hump and dumps. -
when running stock turbos ive always just chucked it away its less vacuums and t- peices so less places for leaks to happen. also it just looks messy in the bay ive lost count of how many cars ive seen with nice engine bays spent all this money on nice hoses and struts and what not then just a totaly reduntant manky looking solenoid sitting there normaly with a random vacuum line looping the 2 ports that do nothing.
