I've ran wms and currently have have d2. Both great quality brakes I'd say the wms ones are better fitment and friendlyier for fitting under wheels the d2s just look epic and fill my wheels so well with the bells and rotors and when ordered the just make a Set and post them. When i got the wms from Keri years ago am sure it was being done in batches so was a slightly longer delay

porting manifold (JAM style) - is this enough off?
_shaun_ replied to turbominicooper's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
aye the restrictions are in the ports them self the collector really gives no issues at all. ive never done it myself but from what i understand its a tedious job -
welcome mate stick a few pics up of your car!

The coil doesn't need earthed the igniter 100% does mine sits inside the car now and wouldn't fire at all till I earthed it
-
the metal bracket to the ignitor needs to be earthed thats where most people go wrong

_shaun_ replied to mikey4410's topic in Performance & Track Days
my first starlet i went from a blitz plug and play at 1bar to a emu at 1.3bar there was more boost obv making more power but it made boost alot earlier and was a hell of a lot smoother! am really looking forward to seeing the different between piggy back and standalone now -
dyno run on sunday, and the result will be ????????
_shaun_ replied to mikey4410's topic in Performance & Track Days
hard one id say the main factor will be how friendly the dyno is ha! around 180 id say on a accurate dyno be interesteing to see the graph to compare to a properly mapped td04 -
No need to change the fuel rail really. But if your planning to for looks may aswell do it before its mapped. Not to start a war just my option but seen a few people have leaks with the td rails and use a mountain of ptfe tape to seal them. Could be down to 3rd party hardware tho

I've been overtaken in 20mph zones past schools with kids outside and all sorts it's always slow cars that do it. Some lad in a Peugeot 308 always seems to try race me no matter where I am. He was once laughing with mates saying I thought starlets are ment to be fast cars so I just told him straight if he wants to try overtake me in 20mph zones he'll be luckily if he manges to go fast enough to get done with 30 in a 20 mean while If I did it i'd just be put straight behind bars for speeding. Am not trying to say my cars super fast but it's quick enough i just don't see the point in proving

why does rear bumper scratch when washed?
_shaun_ replied to tango123's topic in Detailing and Car Care
We recently had a guy decided to wash his car at work on the weekend when no one was onsite. he used our industrial power hose for a pre rinse it pretty much pealed a 6 inch strip of paint straight of the rear quater panel of his Audi Q7. he's now trying to claim the damages back under his paint warranty from Audi am interested to see what they say back to him ha! -
Aye I've totally brain farted there ha just ignore me
-
240 at the fly is very high it should be 240 at the wheels at on a td04 at 1 bar. I just had a quote Off them today and they smashed the other prices.
-
ha i was thinking that. every starlet ive ever owned has had the flexi scraped to hell on even the smallest system. they do hi-power and silent and what not am not sure if the difference is just the back box or there totaly different exhauts ive never made that much attention to them to be honest
-
3.5" striaght though you sure? the biggest ive seen was 3" and on a starlet clearance was eh close! theres a few difference hks boxes some have removeable baffles and can be fairly loud
-
you might get a change in tone of the exhaust but shoudnt effect power in anyway its really the exhaust pipe size that can be restrictive but shouldnt really have any issues with that till you change far bigger boost.
-
It makes no odds really id probably go for the hks for extra scene points tho
-
WHICH OF THESE TWO BOOST GAUGES WOULD YOU TRUST ?
_shaun_ replied to mikey4410's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
I wouldn't go near the gizzmo but it's easy to check just find someone with a compressor set the regulator at 1 bar and attach the racetech its only one line after all
