theres a break in the temp gauge wiring somewhere.. is it a spade connection on your water housing?
-
weejohn ran a blitz access ecu @ 1.4bar on a tdo4.. but he had other fueling mods
-
oil residue and vapours will always come out that breather even if the engine is brand spanking new... a filter is fine but it gets clogged up too easily leaving you back to excess crack case pressure and not to mention a oily rocker cover, lol.....

SOLD this eve, lock her up -
doesnt sound like a ecu problem at all.. probably your ext/wastegate sticking when cold... as for the hunting.. all these plug and plays idle differently as ive found out.. each p&p ecu i put in my car i had to adjust to suit.. the jam ecu comes down the revs very fast after reving so if the ICV isnt clean it will hunt.. the blitz seems to be slower coming down the revs but it still has the same issue when trying to find the idle.. id clean the sensors mentioned above... CTS, ATS and clean the ICV when your at it... might be worth while cleaning the lambda too if you can get at it..

nice power there -
so run a hose from breather to catch can and not let catch can breathe? sorry if im taking you up wrong but if thats the cases then all your doing is bunging up that breather in theory keeping the excess pressure in the crack case.. do explain if im taking you up wrong tho, i just think we are not on the same page.. im not on about the PCV, im on about the other breather @rbz, ive very rarely seen a catch can full of oil, in fact, the only time i came across that it was half full but that engine had problems but even at that it took months to fill that much ... oil wont pour out that breathe
-
that breather expels the gas mate... on boost, off boost whichever... the only reason why they put this breather back to the efi pipe is to re burn the gasses and residue and to a certain extent, "suck the gases"... now, if your using higher boost bigger turbos etc etc then id suggest it... theres loads of ways in doing it, i do it this way and never had problems plus for worn engines with excess crank case pressure its save all the gunk going back through the turbo/intercooler and not to mention boost controller solenoids
-
ive done it on mine and others with zero problems... sorry for not been green about it, lol
-
and what do people do with the breather when they get rid of the EFI pipe? they put a filter on it... this way your catching the oil residue while venting the fumes.. im not talking about the PCV.. theres always pressure from the breather
-
since you done my car, my left nut fell off, now im a right bollicks
-
ukso went mental on me for awhile there.... you first pic is wrong cause all thats doing is closing the PCV and the pressure is coming back into the head via the other breather.. id just leave the PCV to inlet and other breather to catch can with other outlet on catch can to atmosphere
-
the PCV doesnt open once the throttle body flap/butterfly is open.. it only opens on idle when when the inlet manifold isnt under pressure.. how many pipes are on your catch can??? is there any to atmosphere???
-
since you done my car my dog has died.. it happens in all walks of life weather your a mechanic or stuck behind a desk somewhere.. no one is every happy and always complains..

whats it for mark? long time no see by the way
-
no hassle at all
-
first picture is is 96/97 spec.. the 98/99 spec housing doest have the spade connection "red dot in first picture", instead theres a 3rd pin in the CTS sensor/loom for temp gauge, "yellow dot"... the last picture is from an automatic housing
-
it just could be an aftermarket temp gauge sensor mate.. i wouldnt worry about it....
