  1. Hmm I may have to take you up Matt. Yeah it's a lot of money but you'd die if you knew how much I've paid for jdm pikachu's so at least this is a functional item hahaha
  2. I'm looking for a gold blank Toyota starlet key. Possibly a few if I can but I know they're pretty rare! PM or comment if anyone can help, I'm willing to buy one from Japan if anyone can point me to a decent site, none on rhd Japan and I couldn't see any on bid jdm Thanks!
  3. Ideally I want one of the gold starlet keys but they sell so quick... Might put up a thread...
  4. Awesome project love it you should be very proud of all the work that's gone into it! Just in the process of putting a 4E-FTE in my granny spec 70 haha. I'm using a GT loom though, wiring has been a pain because I've kept the standard fusebox and alternator/starter motor wiring.
  5. I need spare keys cutting for a few of mine (apart from the EP70 which came with 7 keys?!?!) do you have to buy the Toyota blanks and take them in to be cut or do most locksmiths stock them? may be a silly question but thought I'd ask haha
  6. Oooh I definitely don't have bodywork skills haha my wheels poke out a lot on mine. Need to pull mine out. I have one spare so maybe I'll try on that one first!
  7. Looks awesome love the colour. How did you widen your fenders?
  8. Thanks dude I actually measured the bay size and compared it to my glanza and its maybe not as much smaller as you think! But I did have Sacha at wepr make me this manifold as compact as possible because of the bay size difference. But you may get away with a ram horn set up as long as the external waste gate position is good if you're going externally gated.
  9. All glass was removed apart from windscreen and bootlid because they're bonded in. I didn't want to risk damaging the glass by removing in seeing as it's been in there since 1986 and replacements might not be that easy to find. I know what you mean though about rust in the corners of the bootlid, but this one seemed pretty good.
  10. To be honest I just chucked that cover on to stop dust getting in the engine! But it does suit the bay!
  11. Update! Engine is built and in! Engine spec is; Ross 74.5mm pistons Scat rods OEM oil pump and water pump OEM head gasket OEM full gasket set King bearing set Block rebored to 74.5mm, decked and honed Crank polished Head skimmed It's taken longer than I wanted but I've been in the interview and assessment process for a job as a design engineer (which I got yay). I've also just bought a Yamaha wr125r so life is as hectic as always. I've started tackling the wiring. It looks worse than it is. I've labelled everything up so now I just need to group and re tape and maybe extend/reduce some
  12. Yeah lock the timing by bridging the ports or it will jump about and you can't set it. timing strobe and adjust the dizzy. mine ran like shit on anything other than 10 deg so i left it at that in the end!
  13. May make the trip down, weather depending!
  14. Yeah as Mikey said, doesn't sound like the turbo itself sounds more like a boost leak. Check the actuator, check the vac line that comes off the compressor housing etc. also check if the penny washer in the exhaust housing isn't stuck open. A while ago mine would not boost and it was the penny washer that was stuck open.
  15. Yes! will probably be in my Advance. what wiull you be in? will come say hi if i see you
  16. Haha clearly i'm the white ranger! Yeah i really wanted a crf125 but the road registered ones are really expensive :/
  17. Thanks for the kind words dude! life has been hectic at the min but should have a big update soon!
  18. Haha I will no doubt want a bigger bike but I think this is a good one to learn on. Obviously I've been driving cars for years but riding a bike on the roads is different so hopefully I won't die! Haha
  19. I've always wanted a bike and I've been looking at 125's for a while now. This one caught my eye but was a lot more than I wanted to pay. However it turned out to be advertised by my local Honda dealership so today I took a trip down to see it. Fell in love of course so off I went and signed all the paperwork and she's now mine! 2013 Yamaha WR125R 1 pervious owner 4155 miles with full service history. I need to get my CBT booked and then get used to it but I can't wait to ride it! I've ridden other bikes (Honda cr150) but this is a bit bigger so I won't be doing much to start with just
  20. I got mine in a full engine gasket set i got from id workz. £170 seems a lot for a gasket set but when you think that an oem headgasket is £45, valve stem seals are £50, turbo gaskets etc etc.... but if you're on a budget you can just buy them on their own from id workz
  21. Before you bolt the head on it might be worth doing stem seals? theyre not that expensive and it's so much easier to do them while the head is off.
  22. Sounds like fuel cut. Get a boost gauge on as above then adjust the actuator to lower the boost until it doesn't cut. Or save up and get a plug and play ecu or piggy back and remap. Had an SRF ecu on my glanza and it was great. gets rid of fuel cut, speed limit, ups the rev limit etc etc.
