Would love this but lack of pennies. I'm only in hull too! (As you know)

Haha yea it is ;)

Share it as far and wide as possible please Liam. The hotter these parts get the harder they will be to sell on Their lock up is now fortified with alarms, better CCTV and some big ass locks. The police are crap sometimes. Proper policing has gone out of the window. They would much rather give you a speeding ticket than help you out. To them it's just a "low value crime" and they get hundreds of these a day.
-
Cheers all. The more people that are aware of these parts the harder they will be to sell.
-
Yup, definitely rob. There's some cctv footage of the driveway that they drove down but its too far away to make out a registration.
-
Cheers rob, no it was a friend of mine who has been building a few cars up. They must have known where the parts where as a lot of them were hidden out of sight. The police have been down and got some good finger prints as they have touched most of the cars within the lock up. Thing is, there are a lot of tools in there also and none of them were touched?

Hey guys and girls. If any one gets offered any of the following can they please contact myself asap or contact humberside police. Last night (29/03/2014) between the hours of 2100 and 1000 my friends lock up was broken into in a specific and targeted burglary. The items stolen are very specific to the "modified car scene." items stolen include :- 4G63 gas flowed cylinder head with titanium valve springs and oversized valves Skyline R32 cusco 6 point roll cage in black Skyline R32 radiator Teguia Skyline R32 twin turbo hot pipe Mx5 oil cooler kit HKS mushroom air filter (new in box R32) Universal carbon spoiler with uprights but no "feet" Momo steering wheel (evo fitment) Mamba carbon backed bucket seats x2 I would appreciate the word being spread on this as far and wide as possible as these are very much vehicle specific parts. These items were stolen from East Yorkshire but are quite desirable to the right people. As always any help is much appreciated. Lets help out another car enthusiast by keeping an ear to the ground and get these parts recovered. Many thanks, Sam.

Blue smoke on tick over and on boost.

I would say stem seals buddy. Rings sound good with the compression test so I wouldn't say its them. Only problem is that its head off to do them really. Ive heard of the rope down the spark plug hole trick but you will hate yourself if you drop a collet down the engine somewhere. -
You will struggle to unsieze bc coilovers. The lower mounting part particularly on the front is tighter than a ducks arse under water. I had the shock absorber tube in a vice with soft jaws and a 7ft scaffolding bar on the end of a F spanner to try and undo the fronts. it didn't end well. Also DO NOT USE HEAT! You will ruin the seals inside the shock absorber. Also BC coilovers are steel bodied shock and steel mounting.

There should be a little black box on the chassis rail above the gearbox with a pipe going to it. just put a piece of pipe from the steel pipe to that little black plastic box. it will then vent into the wheel arch

Hopefully I will be paying will a visit at Rdt this summer. I have the emanage blue now with 370cc injectors to fit. Hopefully see around the same as charl. 160-170 at the wheels.

Yea it came out of andys silver gt. The one that dan now owns

I'm still yet to have the tracking sorted properly yet lew but it drives nice. It's a complete steering rack from a ep80 that I've fitted. It's obviously a bit heavier when stationary but when your moving it's quite a nice drive. It was a bit of a pain to do though as it needed the steering column changing. The u/j that goes on the rack is a lot bigger due to it not being power assisted. I ended up keeping my original column so I can adjust steering wheel height but changing the inner shaft of the column.

Here's mine. Not much to shout about.
-
Yup both the same. Even a n/a starter motor will fit.

This has been a long time coming........ The shedlet has been in hibernation for a few months now. It's last major outing was jae last year 😒 Charl thinks I have lost the heart with it but I've had a bit on recently so I want to get back into my project. So I've been out and bought a few things for the old shedlet. Firstly a massive thankuuuuuuu to Akyakapotter for selling me a set of D2 coilovers. Sold as spares or repair I made use of my skills and repaired them 😉 One of the seals had gone in one of the front shock absorbers so I stripped and cleaned all four of them. Put new oil in them and recharged with nitrogen They have now been fitted to the car but obviously need lifting a touch. I sit in the car and the wheels are tight up against the wheel arches! So I shall be lifting at least the fronts at some point soon. I bought a roll cage from charl and just had to fit it. It's not any brand but it does have a harness bar so that's cool So now we move onto the engine. Since my last update not much has changed apart from the purple hose kit, removing the power steering and the ZISCO ram horn ex gated manifold. Il get a decent picture of all this when I pop to my lock up later on. Also I have been creative in my ways. I decided I wanted an oil cooler for my starlet to help with keeping oil temps at an optimum temperature. So on one of my many trips to scrap yard I decided to do a bit of digging. I found this on another toyota. It's a oil cooler that utilises the coolant system. This saves on having remote oil filters, oil cooler radiators and endless amounts of pipes. I wanted to keep connections down to a minimum and this seemed like a good idea. So I took a spare oil filter housing to work and modified the long oil banjo by shortening it and re threading the end to suit the starlet. Turned out they both used the same thread! For anyone interested it's 3/4 unf. So I ended up with this ......... I intend on using the original turbo coolant lines to work this into the starlets cooling system. 😉 I do have other additions but no pictures I'm afraid. These are bigger brakes for the front. (As can be seen in the coilover pics) many thanks to Zcars for drilling and machining the disks for me. And also I have an A pillar pod that I purchased from dangarbutt. Still need to move my gauges around to fit but that's a job for later on
