  1. No you have to cut the wire in too. One colour goes to the ecu side and the other to the wiring loom side. Its how you adjust the fuelling. Although if you add too much fuelling the ecu will fuel cut I believe?
  2. Yellow and white are the wires to the map sensor. I believe blue is throttle position sensor which you won't be able to use unless you have a automatic tps I believe?
  3. Ah! Thought I reconised the username. Myself and charl came to kurts Gma's to get some parts. Pretty sure he was with you.
  4. Hey sam. We use rivnuts all the time at work. They work well but depends on what you are intending to fix to it. The only problem we have is sometimes the riv nuts can pull the threaded part out if your too rough with them.
  5. Hey guys and girls. I'm after a mani and decat for the shedlet as the toyofail one is on the way out. Only need manifold, downpipe and possibly screamer pipe. Monies waiting for the right price. Cheers, sam.
  6. that surface doesnt look the best to be racing on either. some decent times though in the wet.
  7. I didn't know dukes of hazzard had downgraded their car? Must be because of the recession.
  8. Tara do you have a link to the eBay account or item numbers as of yet? Cheers.
  9. Here you go buddy. Brand new plug. http://www.tweakdperformance.com/onlinestore/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=61
  10. Don't quote me on this but I believe the ignition timing should be set to 15 degrees BTDC. Its nearly the last mark on the timing cover I believe? And yes I would agree with the AFR and EGT gauges.
  11. Sounds like a case of measure once cut twice, three times, four times . . . . .
  12. Mine has even less. Td04, oil feed from pirtec, toyofail manifold and down pipe, relocated air filter and a rrfpr. Not sure what power I'm running but in only at 0.8bar with afr of around 11-10 on full boost. That's also a good idea to get a afr gauge. At least you will know if your running too lean.
  13. What was the name of the hotel? I know its a travelodge but isn't there another one nearby? And ryan can't we just put your rents in a hotel and we can all stay at yours then ;)
  14. Same here. Think myself and charl will be staying there too.

    Melted pistons

What cr pistons are you running dude? Could it be to do with them being put in a 5e instead of a 4e? Also did you have a thicker headgasket? And at 135 mph it wouldn't take long for any engine with fuelling/ignition problems to die. It could still be fuelling but the electronic side not the fuel delivery To the rail. What is your distributor set to? As in how many degrees BTDC is it set to? Its fustrating not knowing the cause of the problem, but it would be an idea to try and solve that before doing 135mph again.

    Melted pistons

Taggy, were the injectors a direct fit? As in were they plug and play? Also do you have any idea how old the injectors are? Good advice with the afr gague though. It seems odd that 2 and 3 pistons have melted. I'm sure you can rebuild it though taggy. Also the whole thing about TD. Mike speaks a lot of sense when he says these engines are getting on for 20yrs old. They are a pretty simple design, no piston cooling jets, no sequential injection and a basic ignition system. They don't even have a cradle for the crank. This is modifying an engine for you. As with anything you sacrifice reliabil
  17. Sounds like there will be a starlet plague! I'm coming in charls advance (not literally either you dirty minded focks! ;) )
  18. DLAC! Also known as driving like a cock.
  19. When you say click are you sure its not a CV?
  20. All I know about the redline shockproof oil is that its suppost to be amazing. One of my friends used to work for Rf motorsport and they used it in their top fuel drag car.

    Belt

I would play better to be safe than sorry. If the belt snapped you could be looking at a lot of money to put right.
  22. I hope it is true because its my birthday too!
  23. Hmm back on subject there are now other companys too that make td04 kits. Tuning developments have their own kits which are proving to be a good investment. Also what about zisco kits? I've not heared any one mention anything about these kits. Are they also a possible contender for "best td04 manifold"
